NATHAN POV
After being away doing Alpha duties Tristan and I were both really eager to get back home and see Ella. It was cool that she was living next door to us now.
We could see her whenever we wanted and we had also decided to tell our father about her. It was time that he knew and we didn’t care what he thought about her being human. We knew that it was just a matter of time before her wolf came out, and if it didn’t, it didn’t matter. The wolf was there. So, she wouldn’t be giving birth to any pathetic weak heirs to our pack.
As soon as we got home we didn’t even go to see our parents, we went next door and started knocking on the door.
Wendy opened it and she looked back at her mother and waved her off before stepping out on the veranda and closing the door behind her. She looked pretty upset and worried at the same time. It immediately got us worried, especially since she would have known that we were here to see Ella and she didn’t get Ella.
“Where is she?” I asked. And Wendy walked over to sit down on the chairs at the corner of the veranda before she let out a deep breath.
“She’s not here. She told me that she had to go and get some stuff from her mother’s house.” Wendy said. But Wendy wouldn’t be upset about that. Wendy would have gone with her to make sure she was protected.
“What aren’t you telling us?” Tristan asked.
“That was two days ago. And she hasn’t been at school either. But I think she lied when she said that she went to get her things from her mothers. Just after you left, she had another run in with Leia. It was bad. Leia broke a bottle over the back of her head. Ella told Leia that she was leaving town and that Leia didn’t have to worry about her anymore. It was pretty serious. I thought that Ella just said that so Leia would leave her alone. At least until you got back.” Wendy explained, looking past us out towards the road. She couldn’t even look at us straight on. “I really believed that Ella just said that so Leia would leave her alone. I didn’t think she was serious. Leia was really laying into her that day. Ella was bleeding all over the floor, she had a huge gash on the back of her head because she didn’t even see it coming. Leia snuck up on us.” Wendy said.
“So, where is she now?” I asked.
“Ella told me that she was going to her mothers house to get a few things that she left behind. But that was two days ago. And she hasn’t been at school either.” Wendy said. And my heart started pounding in my chest. My hearing was becoming muffled. Something has happened to Ella.
“Why didn’t you go with her?” Tristan yelled.
“Because she told me that her stepfather was going to be there. She didn’t want me to be anywhere near him or his wandering hands. She said that she could handle him. I believed her.” Wendy said, a single tear falling from her eyes. She was really scared for Ella. She didn’t know what to do.
“Did you tell our father?” Tristan asked.
“What was I supposed to tell him? That your mate is missing. The same mate that he knows nothing about?” Wendy asked.
“Don’t worry. We’ll get to the bottom of it.” I said, walking away from the house.
Tristan was right behind me and we were on a fucking mission.
We got back in the car and we sped away from our house and drove a couple of blocks to Leia’s house.
As soon as we got there Tristan pounded on the door and Leia’s mother Ashley opened the door.
“Hello Alpha’s.” She said, with a wide smile. But with very serious and determined looks on our faces we pushed past her and straight upstairs to Leia’s bedroom.
Tristan kicked the door in and Leia screamed from the scare that she got but she looked like she calmed down when she saw that it was us.
That was a fucking mistake.
Tristan walked straight over to her and grabbed her around the throat and forced her up against the wall.
“Wow Tristan. Do you really want to do this in front of your brother? I mean, he can join in if he wants. You know I’ve always wanted him to.” Leia teased. But Tristan tightened his grip around Leia’s neck so she was having trouble breathing and she knew that we were serious.
Ashley came running to the door and I stood up and faced her.
“Get the hell out and don’t you dare call anyone.” I ordered her with my Alpha aura seeping out of me and she quickly rushed off and down the stairs again.
I turned back around to see Tristan still holding Leia by the throat and she was turning all different colors since she couldn’t breathe. So Tristan loosened his grip slightly.
“What the hell?” Leia coughed out, acting really confused about why we were here.
“Why did you attack Ella again?” Tristan asked, through gritted teeth. I could feel his Alpha aura dripping off of him and Leia immediately started shaking and sweating in pain.
“Because she kept saying that she never wanted you. And then she ended up with both of you.” Leia admitted. But then I stepped forward and looked at Leia.
“How the hell do you know that she ended up with both of us? We didn’t tell anyone and she definitely wouldn’t have told you.” I said, looking her dead in the eye.
“Because I was there. At your house. The night the three of you came back and you both kissed her. I saw it.” Leia said. And Tristan tightened his grip on her neck again.
“Apologize.” Tristan glared at her. So she looked at both of us with pretty sincere eyes, but that was probably just because she was caught.
