Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate novel Chapter 37

ELLA POV

I stood there staring at Dean, not knowing what the hell to say to the man. He’s my father and he has been watching over me all these years. He’s been sending me money that my mother stole, and Celie has obviously been telling him everything that there is to know about me.

Why didn’t he ever once come to see me? Why didn’t he try to save me from the hell that I was living? He had to know everything. I can’t imagine Celie keeping all of that to herself when he was giving her money to send to me. They were obviously in on it together.

He just sat back and watched me suffer, for all those years and he did nothing.

Dean was looking at me with an expectant look on his face and I moved to the other side of the room to get around him and I started walking towards the door.

“Ella.” Dean said, causing me to stop and I slowly turned around to look at him.

“Don’t ever look for me again.” I simply said before turning back around attempting to leave the apartment.

Dean ran to me a lot faster than I realized he could and he closed the door in front of me. Only making me angrier. I didn’t even want to look at him right now.

He saw me suffering for all those years and now he wants to be a part of my life. After all of this cloak and dagger bullshit. He tricked me into giving me a job.

“Please, don’t go. I can explain.” He said.

“Explain what? How you just sat back and watched the way Marilyn and Jack treated me? Or how about all of Marilyn’s other boyfriends before she married Jack? How the hell can you explain that?” I said, not even looking at him. I kept my eyes fixed on the door. Really wishing that he would get out of the way so I could leave. I didn’t want to be anywhere near him right now.

If he just came out and told me who he was, then I probably would be acting a little differently right now. But he wanted to play these stupid ass games and I’m not going to just forgive him for that.

“Ella. Please, just listen to me. Your mother and I were in love. We really were. But there were a lot of problems during our relationship. She didn’t know who I really was and it caused a lot of problems with us. And then I found my fated mate. I couldn’t ignore that. I know that you are probably confused by that, so I left. But Marilyn never told me that she was pregnant. She hid it from me so when I left I had no idea that you even existed at the time.” He explained, trying desperately to get me to understand. But I looked at my hand on the door handle as it started shaking. But this time, I didn’t know if it was nerves or anger that was making me shake. I was really conflicted right now. How could I possibly know if he was telling me the truth?

“You found out about me eventually.” I said.

“Celie moved in next door to Marilyn. She knew that we had been dating and I never told Celie to move in there. But she did and she saw that Marilyn had a baby. A baby with the same eyes as me. The piercing blue eyes with flecks of green in them. Something that you don’t see anywhere else. Not like ours.” Dean explained, pulling out a baby photo that he showed me.

It was a really old photo but it looked pretty worn. He kept it in his wallet and I guess that was to carry me around with him all the time.

But who cares? A lot of parents do that. It doesn’t mean they actually care.

“I wanted to insist on you coming back to me, but Celie didn’t think it was a good idea. Because there were other factors that we needed to consider.” Dean continued.

“You said that you were the head of the Heartstone group. You mean you’re the Alpha of the pack?” I asked. And he looked at me curiously. He didn’t know that I knew about werewolves.

I only just found out before I left Alaska. The twins had shown me and made it perfectly clear what they were and that I was their mate. I knew all about werewolves and that explained the voice I was always hearing in my head. So I really wasn’t crazy. There really is something else living in my head, the voice wasn’t just my imagination because I was desperate for a friend. She was real and she was a wolf.
