I fell asleep so easily that night surrounded by my mates’ scent. It was soothing and something that I could definitely get used to. It wasn’t something that I was used to. Even though our relationship had progressed so much, this was something completely different. Even just being wrapped up in their arms felt different than before. It felt better than before. And I didn’t know that was even possible.
When I woke up the next morning Alpha Robert, Luna Holly, Dean and Sienna were all there, outside of our room that David had obviously unlocked with his key and I was feeling a little weird right now with all of them outside looking in on us.
I was fully clothes and everything so I didn’t have to worry about that, but I reached down to grab the blanket and I pulled it up to cover me but as soon as I moved the twins held onto me even tighter. I guess to stop me from leaving.
“Wake up.” I whispered.
“I don’t want to.” Nathan mumbled.
“Everyone is here.” I whispered.
“Who is everyone?” Tristan asked. And that’s when they all walked into the room and the twins still didn’t open their eyes. I honestly don’t think they cared at all.
“I wanted to congratulate you on a successful shift last night, Ella.” Dean said.
That got the twins attention and they both opened their eyes and sat up slightly. They were both looking at him like they wanted to punch him, but Dean didn’t seem bothered by it.
And just then I saw Celie standing behind Dean.
“Celie.” I said.
“Hello sweetheart.” She said. And I wanted to lean forward to give her a hug but the twins wouldn’t let go of me.
I knew they were overprotective when Dean was around because he always had an ulterior motive, but Celie wasn’t like that.
“Guys. She’s here because I shifted. I’m sure she needs something from me.” I said.
“Well, yeah. I do need some blood samples.” Celie said.
“She just shifted last night and it didn’t go well. Now you want to stick her full of needles?” Tristan growled.
“Hey, don’t growl at Celie. If you want to growl at someone, growl at Dean.” I said.
“Hey.” Dean said. But I just looked at him and shrugged my shoulders. I didn’t care. He knew how I felt about him. I’d made that clear. But Celie had always been there for me. And I knew that this was going to happen.
They were all waiting for me to shift because they wanted to lift this damn curse. So it was my responsibility to give it to her.
“I can bring the stuff in here if you like so you don’t have to go anywhere.” Celie said.
“Yeah. So that.” Tristan said. And Nathan laid back down, but he kept his arm tightly around my waist.
“They never were morning people.” Luna Holly said. And I chuckled.
“Tell me about it. But we did have a really big night.” I said. And they nodded. Alpha Robert stood forward after that.
