“Of course.”
The butler smiled and nodded before he left directly to the kitchen.
He asked the chef to cook some light food, then took it to Tessa‘s room and knocked on the bedroom door.
When she heard someone knocking, Tessa thought it was Nicholas and hurried to open the door.
As a result, when she saw Sebastian standing outside, her bright eyes dimmed instantly.
“Oh, it‘s you. What‘s the matter?”
Sebastian looked at Miss Tessa‘s disappointed expression. With a faint smile on his lips, he then explained, “Master Nicholas knows that you haven‘t eaten much today, so he specifically asked me to bring you some food.”
As he spoke, he lifted the tray in his hands, then walked into the room and put it on the bedside table.
Seeing this, Tessa knew that Nicholas still cared about her, and her initially miserable mood improved a lot.
“What about him?” she asked.
“Master Nicholas is in the study.”
Sebastian deliberately hesitated, then added nervously, “I think Master Nicholas seems to be in a bad mood. He is smoking a lot of cigarettes. He doesn‘t usually smoke much, you know.”
Tessa felt a little complicated upon hearing this.
Sebastian observed Tessa‘s expression and felt that he had done everything he could, so he quietly retreated.
Tessa didn‘t know that Sebastian was fretting over the two of them.
She ate the food, but it tasted bland in her mouth, and her mind was chaotic once again.
For a while, the room became quiet.
After a long time, her phone ringing broke the silence with a call from Gregory.
Tessa hesitated while holding the phone, but she still answered the video call nonetheless.
Once the video call was connected, Gregory‘s anxious voice sounded from the other end of the
line.
“Miss Tessa, I heard that you are sick. Are you feeling better?”
Tessa could tell that the little boy was worried about her through the phone, so her originally depressed mood lightened a lot.
