Chapter 105 The desired meeting
I looked at him and nodded, even if I thought that was ridiculous. Actually, we were about to sign a contract with them, which was about drinks only, so I didn’t understand why she needed to know about the club that much. But Seth’s words echoed in my head on and on, so I didn’t dare to say a word. Mum, Sloane and Leah played with cards, Seth and dad played with Ava. Even if I was with my family, I felt incredibly alone. Like I was an outsider. My phone woke me up from my daze. It was vibrating in my pocket. I took it out, and my heart warmed up to see who sent me a message. It was like she felt my loneliness.
“What are you doing?”
I smiled. That clearly told me she missed me, too.
“Family time, then I have to go to the club.”
“Will you meet Amber?”
I frowned. How the hell did she know about her?
“She’ll be there, but probably she knows that by now I’m not interested in her.”
“Why not?”
I exhaled in disbelief.
“Because I’m only interested in you.”
“Be careful with her Gideon.”
I frowned again.
“How do you know about her?”
“The right question is what I know about her.”
“Alice, please don’t do this to me.”
I desperately wanted her to answer me, but my phone was quiet. Nearly a half an hour passed when my phone vibrated again.
“Can you meet me now?”
My heart pounded faster, and I felt thrilled.
“Anytime.”
“Meet me at my favourite part of the coast in a half an hour.”
I couldn’t help but smile. Did she seriously think I didn’t know where it was? But in a second I realised I wasn’t alone, and I looked around nervously. I only met Ava’s gaze. I glanced back at my phone.
“I’ll be there. I love you.”
There wasn’t any answer, but I got used to it by now. I stood up and everyone’s attention landed on me.
“Gideon, what are you doing?” My mum asked.
“I got something to do. It can’t wait. I have to leave now.”
“You can’t leave now. What have you got to do, anyway?”
“I’ve just got to help someone, mum.”
“I hope you didn’t forget the club, Gideon.” My dad reminded me.

“No, I’ll go in. But I really have to go now.”
I just grabbed my jacket, and I ran out hurriedly. I didn’t want to give them a chance to hold me back. After running to my car, I sat in. I turned on the engine, and I drove to the place. It took me about fifteen minutes to get there. I just parked my car in the car park, then I waited
My heart pounded faster when I saw the familiar car to arrive. I got out of mine, then I saw her get out of hers too. She stood there for a second and just looked at me. I didn’t want to push her. I was worried she would just disappear again if I would be so headstrong.
She walked to me finally. The warm wind blew her ponytail on her shoulder. She wore a black sportswear. When she stood in front of me, the scent of her perfume hit my nose and it made me shiver.
“Are we going for a walk?” She asked.
“Of course.” I said.
She smiled, and she turned around. I walked next to her. We walked on the seashore for a few minutes when she looked at me.
“How was your evening with your family?” I smiled, but not happily.
“I was happy to leave.”
“How come?” She frowned.
“Things are different now. I think in that family only Ava feels the same as me.”
Her facial expression showed a bit of sadness.
“Is she still skating?”
“Yes, I don’t think she would stop.”
“She is talented.”
I smiled, and I stayed quiet for a little while.
“How is your career?”
She laughed.
“I’m exhausted, but I’m training for the Olympics. My trainers are brutal, but I have to do that if I want to stand on the top of the podium.”
“I’m sure you’ll get there.”
She smiled and lowered her head. As we walked from the corner of my eyes, I saw something flashed; I moved my gaze there.
“Riccardo’s people are all around us.”
She looked at me and smiled.
“Don’t you trust me?”
I laughed.
“If they kill me after this walk, I would say that it was worth it because I could see you.”
She chuckled this time. But she was like before. Hearing that, I felt a bit of courage to ask.
“How do you know about Amber?”
She kept her smile. “Riccardo told me about her.”
I locked at her suddenly.

“First, he told me you should be careful with her, as her family broke. Now she is into you, and if we think about that logically, you are the only single man in the Sullivan family.”
Her words shocked me.
“I asked Riccardo if he knew more about them. He said he only knows that your dad used to cooperate with them.”
