Chapter 109 In the enemy’s house
“Yeah, I was busy in the club.”
I closed my eyes as I just realised that probably she knew Amber was there too.
“You should sleep by now.”
“I’m ready for it. I just wanted to hear from you. I miss you.”
My phone rang. I picked it up.
“I miss you too. How was your night?”
“Boring.”
“Did she try to get close to you?”
I sighed.
“Yeah, but I made her understand. I don’t like her at all.”
She remained quiet.
“Alice.”
“I’m here.”
I sighed. “Alice, I love you and you know that.”
“I know.”
“You should be on the ice by now.” I heard her trainer shout at her from afar.
“I have to go now, Gideon.”
“Okay. I’ll see you in the evening.”
“Okay.”
“I love you, Alice.”
“I love you too, Gideon.”
Then she hung up. I took a deep breath. I knew I had to get rid of Amber from next to me. Alice was jealous. I was afraid she wouldn’t take that I keep meeting her. I hoped I could make her understand there wasn’t another woman who I would be interested in.
I woke up a bit after noon. I made some food, and I ate. After dressing up, I left for the centre. I went to the mall, and I found a shop that I needed.
“How can I help you, sir?” an assistant asked.
“I’m looking for a blue scarf. I need a nice, soft material. I don’t mind the price.”
She smiled, nodded, and after she laid a few out, she explained about them all. But for some reason, my eyes stuck on one. It cost two thousand and seven hundred dollars.
“I want this.” I pointed at the one. The assistant nodded.
“Good choice.”
I paid for it, and I went to another shop. They greeted me with a smile.
“How can I help, sir?“
