Chapter 108 Awaiting
He lowered his head.
“She wants me to solve the problems around our family. At least she could see I’m trying to do something about it.”
Looking at him, I had that feeling she was probably pushing dad really hard.
“Dad, I really can’t do tomorrow. It is not just that she makes me feel nauseous, but I’ll be really busy. I can’t cancel my plans for tomorrow.”
This time, he looked at me with a frown.
“What have you got tomorrow?”
“Something that I don’t want to cancel.”
He tried to read my facial expression.
“A girl?”
I nodded. He looked at the ground.
“Just please make sure she won’t meet Amber. Amber is really into you.”
I frowned, but even if I had many questions, I just nodded. He wanted me to end up next to Amber for some reason. I would have loved to ask him that, but I knew he wouldn’t have answered me.
Amber came back in a few minutes, followed by Seth. Dad stood up and walked to them.
“Amber, dear, find another appointment to talk. My son is really busy tomorrow. He really can’t go with you.”
Amber crossed her arms and looked at me like she wanted to kill me, but she nodded.
“The next day then.”
I looked at her.
“Maybe.” I rolled my eyes. Alice was finally next to me again, and she was jealous. I didn’t want to hurt her, nor put her in a strange situation. I knew I couldn’t lose her again. That would have broken me completely.
Seth and Dad left shortly, but before they stepped out of the door, Seth kindly let me know the reason they could leave and the reason I was the one who had to stay. Because they had a family. He mocked me and he enjoyed it.
It was a long night. Amber tried to find out what I had to do the next day, but, just as my dad requested, I didn’t tell her I would date someone. That angered me, of course, but I forced myself to keep my mouth shut.
Finally, I jumped up happily when she put everything back in her folder.
“Can you give me a ride back home?”
I rolled my eyes, then I nodded, but only because I didn’t want her to cry at my father. Amber held her folder happily and walked to me with a smile. She stopped for a minute, looking at me seductively, and she walked on slowly, clearly wanting me to follow her. She tried to move my attention on her ass, but that just made me smile and reminded me when I stared at Alice’s butt for the first time, and how much it turned me on.
When we arrived at my car, she noticeably waited for me to help her get in, but I just walked to the driver’s side. She sat in the car, disappointed.
“Where do you live?”
“I type the post code into your GPS.”
She bent over, pushing her breast together, giving me a perfect view of her cleavage. Okay, I had to admit that was interesting, but definitely not that much to get the fancy of pulling her into my bed.

“Put your seatbelt on.” I said.
She looked at me seductively again and slowly leaned back to sit properly.
“Do you worry about my safety?” She asked me with a smile.
“No, I just don’t want to pay the fine if the police stop me.”
Her smile disappeared instantly, and her facial expression showed her dislike. I turned the engine on and I followed the GPS.
“You know, Gideon, I don’t understand why you are so against me. If you would talk to me sometimes, or you would come out with me for dinner, you might like me.”
“Why should I like you?”
She smiled.
“Our families would be happy if we would try to be together. I like you, and I’m sure if you wouldn’t refuse me so stubbornly, then you would like me too. I know you are staring at me all the time and that means you want to fuck me. Gideon, I am not blind.”
She laughed when she said the last sentence. I wished I could tell her I have a girlfriend who I was in love with, and what more, that woman was my wife.
“Amber, I’m not interested in you. If my father wants you to be his business partner, that is fine with me, but I don’t want to get involved.”
She looked at me with a smile.
