I frowned. 

“She didn’t tell me that.” 

“I think she was going to tell you about this. But you were grumpy, and I am guessing she knew the reason for that, so probably this was the reason she didn’t tell you about her new job yet.” 

I looked away again. I knew he was right, like the fact I could be really selfish sometimes. 

“Gideon, she told all of us how much she wanted this, and watching Awa, I got to know how much effort they put into it. Alice told her this was her biggest dream since she was little. Why do you want to main that? Why is yourself more important again than her?” 

“No, you are wrong.” 

I shook my head, but again, deep inside, I knew he was right. 

“I think you shouldn’t be jealous either, but I told you that already.” 

He sighed again. 

“Alice loves you.” 

I looked at him, then I sighed. 

“Maybe you are right. But it’s so damn hard.” I looked back at my 

glass. 

“Maybe it is, but think about her. Just look at her how happy she is. You should be thrilled to see her happy. You should share these moments with her. What is better for you? Isn’t that better to remember this as a good memory?” 

“I lowered my gaze while I nodded. I looked back at my glass, and I pushed it away. After a deep sigh, I stood up. Seth watched me with a frown 

“What happened, Gideon? I thought you came for a drink.” 

“Fuck that! I have to get up early. If they really
