Chapter 188 Searching
“We are in a foreign country far away from home. We have not enough people and it would take ages to order them here. Riccardo, they took my son,
and they…
“They took my daughter, Spencer!” I shouted at him, losing my control. “Stand up, and act like an adult. We must do everything to get them back. You can’t break. If you break, we are going to lose them.”
He took a few deep breaths and stood up. His worry was still written on his face, but I hoped he could think with a clear mind, as I needed help. I took my phone, then I called Carlo.
“Carlo, Alice and Gideon disappeared, get everyone who we got here with us, and find out about the organisations in the city. Be quick.”
After I hung up, I took a deep breath. I knew what Spencer felt, and I did not blame him for that, but now we needed to stay strong. That was the only way to see our children again.
Recently, I thought more and more about Alice, about how much I hated 1 was not a part of her life since she was born, but I was grateful for being next to her from now on, at least. She was so like me, and every single time when I noticed a new thing in her which she inherited from me, I loved her
more.
She could think with a clear mind. She was strong headed, clever minded, both physically and mentally strong, trained by life. Nothing would hold her back from doing everything to stay alive and come back to me, anything they do to her. I believed in that.
I lowered my head. I also fought with my emotions. Spencer was right. It was not our territory, and that made everything harder. But there was one thing that I knew. I had to do everything, everything to get my daughter back in one plece, alive.
“What is happening?” I moved my gaze to the door as I heard the familiar voice. Seth stood there, watching his father. His gaze darkened as well.
“Where are they?” He frowned.
He did not get an answer, so he moved closer. His darkened gaze showed us he wanted one of us to give him an explanation.
“Where are they?” he repeated the question, this time with fear in his eyes.
“I don’t know, son,” Spencer answered him, which made him turn to me.
“Riccardo?”
I shook my head.
“We are going to find the leaders here. We need to know the reason first, then we might help it.”
I was honest. His gaze darkened more.
“What do you mean, we might?”
“I meant exactly what I said.” I lowered my head. He just looked at me for a few seconds, then he went to his father, still in a daze.
“Dad, what do you want me to do? Where do you want me to go? Tell me!” He started trembling
*I don’t know, son, I don’t know. I heard Spencer, who could not hide his fear.
“We’ll find them, dad. Pull yourself together. Now, Gideon needs us. He used a tone which was more like a command. Seth ordered his father, who had a breakdown.
At that moment, I knew who I needed. Seth was much stronger than Spencer, indeed. I heard about him before. If there was someone who my people took as their enemy, that was him.
“Riccardo, please take me instead of him. The family needs him, and 1
“Seth, you are in. I think your father should stay with your family.”
“No, you can’t exclude me. I need my son,” Spencer said. For a moment, he sounded like Spencer Sullivan again, who used to be my enemy.

I nodded, and Seth did not argue with me.
“But now we have to move. We have to go
the streets to find out who rules them.”
Seth nodded. He took his father’s arm, and he gently made him move. We rushed down together. We sat in two rented cars, and we split. I was about to drive away when someone stood in the car’s way. Someone who also meant the whole word to me. Alexandra. She moved around and she sat next to
“Don’t think that you can leave me out of this.”
“Alexandra, you must stay here. Think about Matteo.”
