Chapter 25 Lucky me? 

I waited a few minutes just to make sure no one was around, and 1 lifted her up into my arms. I left the station quickly. A few elder people’s attention was on us, but I tried to ignore them. I only hoped no one was going to call the ambulance or the police. It wasn’t really a problem, because we had our connections, but I didn’t want to waste my time on explanations. 

1 took her into my car, and I drove back to Gideon’s with her. After taking her into the house, I put her into her bed. I watched her for a little while. I felt so sorry for her. 

She was brave enough to make this step, and probably she would be frightened much more when she finally realises she hadn’t succeeded 

Probably Gideon was mistreating her. Alice couldn’t contact anyone who was close to her, and she couldn’t move freely. She didn’t dare to speak, and no one spoke to her. She didn’t deserve to live like this 

When I made sure she was breathing and she’d be okay, I left the house. I couldn’t say anything to Gideon about it. He would punish her for sure. I was going to come back tomorrow to speak to Alice. I wanted to let her know I was the one who found her, and this was the one and last time she could do this without consequences. 

A bit later, the guys texted me. They were all safe. I wasn’t in the mood to go to the club, so I decided I would go back home to Leah.

When I opened my eyes, I felt dizzy, but my vision went clear in a few seconds. I just remembered what happened. I was at the bus station, ready to leave. My heart beat faster, and 1 needed to force myself to look around, feeling terrified what I would see, but I frowned when I realised I was in my room. And I was alone. I sat up to see if there was really no one.

When I opened my eyes, it was already sunny. It was nine o’clock. I never slept that long, but I wasn’t in the mood to get up. I just pulled the quilt on me, and I turned on my other side. 

I just wanted to sleep and never wake up. I stayed like that for a long time. When I heard knocking on my door, my heart beat faster out of fear. I didn’t want to open it. I wasn’t ready to face my punishment. What could I do? I could try to fight, but they were stronger than me. 

When I saw the door to open, I gasped for air. I expected Gemma or Gideon to come, but I saw Seth coming into my rooms, which surprised me. He frowned when he looked at me. He walked to my bed. 

“Alice, listen to me. I only tell you ones, next time I won’t be that kind. Okay?” 

I nodded. I felt hopeful. Maybe my punishment will be verbal only. 

“What you have done yesterday, is unacceptable. My family does everything to keep you well. They bought you. Gideon owns you. I thought you got a

He turned his back to me, then he walked toward the door, but he turned back with a sudden move, and frowned. 

“What the hell happened in the house?” 

“They came home late.” I told him in a hoarse tone.
