For two seconds, a chilly silence spread all over the warehouse, followed by a painful and heartbroken scream.
"AHHH!!!" Lu Ling shouted; he rushed inside the warehouse with a bleeding heart and rubbed his eyes three times. He looked left and then looked right; however, no matter how many times he looked around, the boxes filled with weapons did not appear.
Lu Ling didn't want to believe that he had been robbed! Thus, he continued to look around the warehouse, hoping that the boxes were hidden somewhere close but when he didn't—
He turned around and faced the guards before asking in an exaggerated manner, "BOXES!?" He screeched. "Where are the boxes? The hundred and thousand boxes? Where did they go?!"
The guards were also surprised. They did not see anyone last night, so how come the warehouse was robbed?
Seeing the dumbfounded expression on the faces of the guards, Lu Ling knew that there was no point in talking with them. He suppressed his anger and ordered, "Go and check the surveillance recording! Why are you looking at my face like idiots?"
"Yes!"
The guards rushed to the security shack while Lu Ling turned to look at Mister Clynton with a greasy smile. "I am sorry for the trouble, Mister Clynton—but don't worry. I will definitely supply you with the weapons that you have paid for."
Mister Clynton was also an old fox. He smiled at Lu Ling but didn't say any harsh words. Instead, he said to him, "There is no need to say sorry. We had so many dealings, Mister Lu; of course I will give you the time to locate the lost goods."
Though Mister Clynton said all kinds of flowery words, he did not speak a single word about paying for the goods.
Lu Ling also understood his intentions, and even though his heart was filled with anger, Lu Ling still continued to smile at Mister Clynton.
"Thank you for your understanding, Mister Clynton" Lu Ling lowered his head and thanked the man even though he would have loved to choke the life out of him.
Mister Clynton hummed before taking his leave.
Once the man left, Lu Ling straightened his spine and spat on the ground. "Bah, that bastard! I have given him so much face in the past; now he thinks that he can stampede on top of my head."
Though Lu Ling was furious, he knew that now wasn't the time to waste. He rushed to the security shack and pushed open the door; upon entering, he questioned immediately, "Who was it? Who was the one who stole my goods?"
There were so many surveillance cameras, of course one of them must have caught something!
"Mister Lu.... the cameras did not capture anything."
"What did you say?" Lu Ling felt his head buzz.
"The cameras didn't catch anything," the guard bit the bullet and repeated.
Lu Ling almost fainted when he heard the response of the guard. What did he mean by that there was nothing?
