Chapter 6: Collecting Evidence

This was similar to a pie falling from the sky for her. She immediately followed the instructions and typed the GPS locations of the Bai house as well as the little apartment that Su Hu had bought a few days ago.

Once she was done, Bai Meiyue let the flies fly out of her apartment.

Seeing that the flies left without a hitch, Bai Meiyue heaved a sigh of relief. She was no longer as stressed as she was before, her entire body and mind relaxed at the thought that the evidence would soon be in her hands.

"Baby, don't worry. Those who have wronged us, Mommy will make them pay bit by bit," Bai Meiyue caressed Little Cai Cai who was growing in her belly. In the past, she was like a street rat without a penny in her pockets. She had to fight zombies and look for resources every day.

While Bai Xue and her shameless father along with his mistress and son lived a happy life in the mansion that she purchased with her own hard-earned money.

Those comforts should have belonged to her and Cai Cai —as well as her mother and two older brothers.

When Bai Meiyue remembered her mother, her eyes started to sting.

Now that she was back, Bai Meiyue realised that her mother was still alive and not lost in the tsunami that happened at the end of the world. She still had the time to save her mother and her two brothers.

Back then, the world went into chaos way too quickly. The entire city was enveloped in water, the only reason Bai Meiyue was able to survive was because she awakened as a supernatural being who could control water.

But her mother and big brothers—they were not as lucky as her.

Who knows how they died after the doomsday began?

Bai Meiyue felt her stomach growl. She looked at the time and noticed that it was indeed lunchtime, now that she was back Bai Meiyue had no desire to treat herself badly.

Not to mention she was now pregnant. She couldn't treat herself carelessly anymore. Back then, because she was not aware that she was pregnant, Bai Meiyue had not taken care of her nutrition, which led to her son being born underweight. Bai Meiyue would never repeat such mistakes.

She got to her feet and walked over to the kitchen before taking out a few eggs and pork knuckles that were kept in the refrigerator.

Bai Meiyue prepared a bowl of egg drop soup and braised pork knuckles for herself along with a giant bowl of rice.
