CHAPTER THIRTEEN
ADELIA
“Did you finish talking to him?” I heard a beautiful voice and looked up to see that the beautiful lady was still standing in front of me. The only difference was that her sparkling eyes were twinkling even more. “Ah… yes…” I told her. Even though she was a bit intrusive, I did not feel uncomfortable towards her. On the contrary, she was making me feel relaxed and at ease. And add to the fact that an enemy would never be able to enter Lewis’ house, I was sure that the friendly lady was not someone dangerous.’ Thus, I smiled at her and shyly added, “He invited me for breakfast.” The lady stared at me without any reaction for a few seconds before I saw her hands reaching towards my face. Then, I felt her fingers gently pinching my cheeks before she said, “Where did Alpha Lewis find you? Do you have a brother or a sister? If you have, please tell me where I could find them so I can bring them home.” “Ah?” I exclaimed. “Eh, but why?” Why would she want my brother? I blinked in confusion. The lady chuckled before softly patting my cheeks. “Nevermind. Let’s talk about that later.” “For now, you should go and eat breakfast with Alpha Lewis before that guy decides to come over here and get you,” she urged me. ‘Ah, that’s right! Lewis wants to have breakfast with me so I must hurry!’ I thought before sprinting to the washroom at the side of the room. In just a few minutes, I refreshed myself and went back to the room. The lady was still there, casually sitting at the side table. The room was huge, and yet, she made it look smaller just by staying in it. “Seems like you’re ready,” she smiled at me. “Then, I’ll come and see you later, cutie,” she told me before walking to the door. I furrowed my brows before asking, “Aren’t you eating breakfast with us?” Someone who could enter Lewis’ house was a friend, that was what I had thought. Friends eating together, was not that the norm? However, the beautiful lady seemed to have turned stiff for a fraction of a second upon hearing me before she turned around to face me. Then, with a very serious expression, she told me, “My dear… I’m not as bold as Halen… I don’t want to die yet…” A few minutes later, a powerful yet friendly looking warrior was escorting me towards the place where I would meet Lewis.
‘I knew that a pack house was supposed to be huge,’ I thought as I looked around the interior of the house. ‘But this pack house… it’s even way bigger than Alec’s…’ …it’s like a palace…’ I thought as I stared around in amazement. Because of the size of the pack house, it took us a few minutes until we arrived at the garden.
‘This place…’
