Upon hearing Jerome’s remarks, Kylie couldn’t help but cry more. 

“Jerome, I know you’re still upset about the photo I took last time. I admit I did it for a selfish reason. You mentioned my pasta tasted better than anywhere else, so I wanted to share it on my social media. 

“But I know you’ve been trying to keep your distance from me, I was afraid that you might be upset if I posted it, so I deleted it right away. I didn’t know Mikayla would see it so quickly and save it.” 

Kylie continued, still sobbing. 

“I know Mikayla’s temperament very well. I don’t mind if she misunderstands me, but I don’t want you to misunderstand me… I don’t want to lose the bond we had when we were young.” 

Looking at Kylie frantically explaining herself in her current state, Jerome was a little moved. 

He spoke in a softer tone, “Don’t overthink it. I didn’t misunderstand you. Mikayla brought it up yesterday. I wasn’t aware of the situation, so I asked you about it.” 

“Okay.” Kylie wiped her tears with a tissue. Her face was somewhat embarrassed. 

“Sorry for making a scene. I’m not usually this sentimental. Maybe the concussion is making me 

emotional.” 

“Mr. Miller.” 

Mike knocked on the door and walked in 

He was about to report something, but seeing Kylie got all teared up, he hesitated. 

Kylie regained her composure and said, “I’m fine. If you have something to say, go ahead.” 

It was something related to Bernhal Enterprise, but Mike didn’t avoid the topic. 

He reported to Jerome, “I just received news that Mocato Investments is going to continue their Investment in Ansoft Enterprise.” 

Upon hearing this, Jerome frowned. 

“When did this happen?” 

“This morning, Taylor personally went to Ansoft Enterprise. It’s said that they have reached a preliminary agreement with Ms. Holmes.” 

Kylie couldn’t quite comprehend, 

“Why would Taylor continue investing in Ansoft? What happened?” 

She had been unconscious all night and woke up in the morning to various check ups and injections. 

She didn’t know what happened last night. 

Mike briefly explained the events that made Ansoft’s popularity soared overnight. 

After listening, Kylle stiffened. 

She began to panic and reached for her phone on the bedside table. 

When she saw the various trending news about Ansoft and Mikayla online, she almost lost her mind. 

Why were people taking Mikayla’s side when she got drunk? 

They should be focusing on her divorce instead of buying the wine she was drinking! 

Suddenly, Kylle thought of the party last night. 

She saw Betty, the person in charge of Ansoft. 

Could it be that Mikayla planned all this? 

Jerome pursed his lips and said to Mike, ‘Let’s head back to the company.” 

“I’ll go with you,” Kylie hurriedly said.
