Chapter 111
Jensen was wearing sportswear with his hair slicked back.
He was smoking with two shady–looking men.
Instinctively, Mikayla hid in the restroom.
“Louisa and her friends are here for a photoshoot. I have no choice.” Jensen blew a smoke ring. “Be patient. You may leave after you help me with something. We’ll go to a bar later!”
“What do you want us to do?” one of them asked.
“Push Louisa into the lake.”
“Hey, Jensen! What are you trying to do? Murderis a crime!”
“Why would I want to commit murder?” Jensen kicked the man,
He continued, “I just want you to push her into the lake so I can rescue her immediately!”
“Oh, I get it! You’re going to act as a hero saving a damsel in distress. When she’s rescued, you can give her CPR, then take her to a hotel, change her clothes, and keep her warm…”
Jensen didn’t deny the outrageous things coming out of the man’s mouth.
He stamped out the cigarette butt.
“I’ve been pursuing her for several days now, but she’s been ignoring me. So I’ll have to put in more effort. Remember, you must lure her to somewhere secluded. Don’t push her immediately. You have to make seem like an accident so that she’ll believe me,” Jensen instructed.
“No problem, we got everything covered!”
After that discussion, they all left.
Only then did Mikayla come out of the bathroom.
Just as she suspected, Louisa was clearly not interested in him.
So he’s resorting to dirty tricks.
To avoid being discovered by Jensen, Mikayla hid in the restroom again.
She took out her phone and tried to call Matilda, but then she saw a message from Jerome.
“Do you have anything to say?”
Mikayla was confused.
What did she have to say to him?
She had no time for him now and immediately called Matilda.
Chapter
“Mikayla, why is your phone not working? What happened last night? Is Jerome really going to leave you? Is the divorce true?”
As soon as the call was connected, Matilda bombarded her with questions.
In the morning, she really didn’t want to listen to Matilda’s questioning, so she refused to answer her calls.
Mikayla cleared her throat.
“Aunt Matilda, mind your own business! I don’t care whether Jerome divorces me or not. Even if he does, It would be better than how Louisa is doing. She’s been skipping all her classes. All she cares about is having fun. She’s even falled most of her subjects!”
Sure enough, Mikayla’s words annoyed Matilda.
“How dare you speak to me like this? If it weren’t for Louisa being so young, do you think you’d be the one marrying into the Miller family?”
“Louisa? Marrying into the Miller family? She couldn’t even graduate. Do you think the Miller family would accept her?” Mikayla mocked.
