Chapter 112
Mikayla heard Michael’s voice and walked out of the restroom.
Michael explained awkwardly, “You haven’t come out for so long, and I was worried that you couldn’t find the place. So, I came to check on you.”
Mikayla casually said, “I was on a call just now so it took some time. Let’s go.”
The photo area and the barbecue area weren’t in the same location, so Mikayla didn’t encounter Jensen
and Louisa.
Kenny and some others were grilling meat, while some were eating snacks and drinking beer, and there were others who were playing the guitar.
The atmosphere was relaxed and casual.
‘Miss, would you like a beer?” Michael asked.
Mikayla shook her head. “No, thank you. I’m driving.”
The experience of getting drunk last night wasn’t a pleasant one, so she had better take it easy.
Michael handed her a juice, and he took one for himself.
They sat on the grass next to each other.
Mikayla sighed, “It’s good to be young. You have so much freedom to pursue your dreams.”
Michael looked at her with a serious look.
“Miss, you are young as well. You can definitely pursue your dreams.”
Mikayla smiled, but what were her dreams?
When she was young, she wanted to become a perfumer like her mother.
Later, she became interested in drumming and wanted to be a drummer.
In college, she chose finance, aspiring to become the best investment manager in the country.
However, she didn’t commit to any of these dreams.
Instead, she chose to be with Jerome and became the wife he detested.
Nobody knew where she would eventually end up.
Mikayla became lost in her thoughts, and it made Michael worried for her.
“Miss, I saw the news about you. You don’t need to force yourself if you’re upset. I asked you out because
I wanted you to relax.”
Mikayla turned to look at Michael.
His eyes were sincere, and his tone was comforting.
The sunlight shone through the gaps in the trees.
Mikayla raised her hand and covered her forehead, letting out a genuine smile.
“Michael, thank you. I’m not forcing myself. On the contrary, I’m quite happy.”
Suddenly, Mikayla heard the sound of the camera shutter.
It was Kenny, taking a picture with his phone
“Wow, this photolooks quite artistic! Look, Miss!”
Mikayla reached over to see the photo Kenny had just taken.
It was a photo of her covering her forehead, and the sunlight gently shining on her face from above.
“Good shot! I didn’t expect you to be so talented in everything. You’re not only good at music and computers but great at taking photos!” Mikayla complimented.
“That’s right!” Kenny proudly lifted his head.
Later on, Mikayla spent most of the time eating and chatting with Michael and his group.
It was calming and relaxing.
