Mikayla glanced at Jerome and asked, “Can I borrow your phone?” 

Is your phone out of battery?” 

“No, 1 just want to use your phone to check Instagram. Don’t worry, I don’t mean to pry into your privacy.” 

Then, she told him the truth. “I can’t view Louisa’s Instagram account. I want to use your account 

to take a look.” 

Jerome pursed his lips, then unlocked his phone and handed it to her. 

“Thanks.” 

Mikayla took the phone and opened the Instagram app. Then, she immediately searched for Louisa’s Instagram account. 

Surprisingly, Louisa had sent Jerome a few messages. But he didn’t reply to her at all. 

As she went through Louisa’s Instagram posts, Mikayla was certain that Louisa had blocked her 

and not Jerome, since all her updates were still visible to him. 

Mikayla couldn’t help but feel angry about such differential treatment. 

If Louisa weren’t Eduard’s biological granddaughter, Mikayla wouldn’t be bothered to care about 

her! 

Holding back her anger, she swiftly scrolled through the posts. 

Louisa posted updates almost every day. She shared all kinds of things, from her breakfast to her 

night routine. 

Soon, a post from two days ago caught Mikayla’s attention. 

“The shooting stars are so beautiful. The situation we’d encountered was so dangerous. 

Fortunately, everything turned out well in the end. Someone will always remember your casual 

words.” 

Several photos of the night sky accompanied the caption. There was a faint silhouette of a man in 

one of them. 

Matilda probably wouldn’t recognize him, but Mikayla could tell that the man was Jensen. 

So, he had accompanied Louisa to see the stars two days ago. What else had happened? 

Mikayla had no doubt that the so–called “dangerous situation” had been orchestrated by Jensen. 

After his last plan failed, he had unexpectedly devised another one. 

No wonder Louisa had accepted his gift and trusted him so much. 

Mikayla wondered if Louisa would find out anything about the earrings today. Actually, she could just find someone to investigate Jensen’s information and show it to Louisa. 

But regardless of whether Louisa would believe it or not, based on Jensen’s behavior in her previous life, he would probably risk everything and do something to hurt her.
