Chapter 160
Jerome had an ambiguous expression.
“I can’t find my pajamas. Go back and help me find them.”
Mikayla was puzzled.
Though she was a little tipsy, she wasn’t so drunk that she couldn’t think straight.
She knew that Jerome was probably upset because she hung up on him.
He wanted to give her a hard time.
“I’m not obligated to help you with anything,” Mikayla said.
She reached out for her glass.
“Give me back my beer!”
Jerome glanced at Mikayla and frowned.
“You’ve had enough. No more drinking.”
Most of the people present had seen Jerome before.
Last time, he had taken Mikayla away without explanation.
This time, they didn’t want to see her get bullied again.
“Sir, although she’s your wife, you don’t have the right to stop her from drinking, do you?”
“Yeah, aren’t you being too misogynistic?”
Upon hearing this, Jerome’s eyes calmly swept over them.
His powerful presence, coupled with his stern expression, made those that had spoken out
feel intimidated.
“Mr. Miller, she isn’t drunk. If she wants to leave, we’ll escort her. You can’t force her to leave with you,” Michael spoke up.
Jerome glanced at Michael and then at the glass in his hand.
He then lifted Mikayla off her feet and into his arms.
Mikayla was caught off guard.
She screamed, and her arms instinctively wrapped around Jerome’s neck.
Jerome seemed satisfied with her reaction.
With a hint of poise and distance in his tone, he addressed the others, “The bill is on me
tonight. Thank you for keeping my wife entertained”
With that Jerome handed a black card to the waiter and camed Mikayla away.
Mikayla was about to struggle, but Jerome wamed her in a low voice, “If you move again,
Пkiss you now. Let’s see who’s embarrassed later.”
Mikayla froze
She knew that Jerome was capable of doing what he said.
She hated herself for not being drunk enough and still cared for her dignity.
Seeing that they were attracting too much attention, Mikayla felt embarrassed.
She waved to Micheel and hid her face in Jerome’s arms
As they left the bar, Jerome tossed her into the passenger seat.
Mikayla didn’t want to be questioned by him, so she faced the window and closed her eyes.
Seeing she was ignoring him, Jerome remained silent.
The car ride was quiet, and the cool air from the air conditioner felt
Comfortable.
