Chapter 186
There would be no next time.
She would never be in the kitchen if he is.
“It’s okay. I just had a sudden craving for it yesterday. I forgot the doctor told me to cat less dessert. You don’t have to redo it,” Wanda reassured.
Mikayla wondered why Wanda was in an inexplicably good mood when they hung
After the call, she took a look at the messy kitchen and immediately called a cleaning service.
If a woman treated herself as a housekeeper, she would have endless chores to do.
She didn’t care to be known as a virtuous wife.
She would rather take a shower to get rid of that filthy man’s scent from her body.
In his study, Jerome received a video call from Wanda.
“Jerome, what’s wrong with your lips? It seems to be bleeding,” Wanda asked with
concern.
He wiped the blood and replied offhandedly, “I’m fine. I just accidentally bit it.”
She laughed knowingly.
“You must’ve bullied Kay. She bit you, didn’t she?”
Recalling what happened, Jerome felt annoyed.
Mikayla didn’t just bite his lips, she also bit his tongue.
He also checked his tongue, it was also bleeding.
She must’ve felt like she was backed into a corner, it was an act of desperation.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Do you regret your recklessness? Girls are all the same. Kay will only be satisfied if you follow her wishes.”

Wanda snorted. “I keep telling you to be nice to Kay, but you never listen! Now, she doesn’t want to be with you. Not only do you not plan to win her back, you just made her even more angry!”
Jerome’s mood remained terrible.
“She doesn’t want to be with me? I don’t think so. She probably just shifted her strategy. She really is cunning…”
“You bastard! You’re really going to piss me off!” Wanda sounded anxious, “Can’t you tell she wants to leave you? Don’t think too highly of yourself, or you’ll regret it! Don’t come crying to me then!”
After a refreshing shower, Mikayla came downstairs.
Jerome had already left, and the cleaning service staff had arrived.
After requesting the home service staff to clean the kitchen and house, she sat down on the couch.
She crossed her legs and took out her phone.
Eduard had texted her, asking if anything had happened.
She decided to just call him.
She mentioned that the Saunders wanted to introduce a business deal to the
Davidsons.
He asked, “Haven’t the Saunders changed their line of work in the last two years? I don’t think they’ll be able to find us any big business deals?”
“I’m not sure. But I’m worried Uncle Stephen might sign it if Peter Saunders reached out.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll let Stephen know.”
Despite Eduard’s assurances, Mikayla remained uneasy.
Stephen wouldn’t refuse if there were no problems with the contract.
She had no solid reason to stop it from happening.
