Chapter 215
Feeling Mikayla’s anger and struggle, Jerome finally let her go.
There were racks placed everywhere with towels on them. Despite her resentment, Mikayla grabbed one and threw it to Jerome.
She also wrapped one around herself and hurriedly went to look for Celeste along the side of the hot springs, as if she was escaping from him.
Jerome watched Mikayla leave as she was dripping wet.
Even though she was wearing a rather conservative swimsuit, it didn’t hide her long legs and curves.
He regretted letting her go.
“Jerome, are you listening?” Connor called.
Jerome then withdrew his gaze and replied annoyedly, “What is it?”
“Why are you so irritated? Were your needs not met?” Connor jokingly said.
Connor didn’t expect his teasing to hit a nerve with Jerome.
“Call Mike if you need anything in the future. Don’t call me again!” Jerome ended the call abruptly, leaving
Connor puzzled.
What did he do wrong? Why couldn’t he even make a phone call now?
When Mikayla found Celeste, she had already dismissed her colleagues as if she knew Mikayla was looking for her.
She was sitting in a hot spring with her phone in hand, smiling mysteriously.
“Stop laughing! You almost got me into trouble!” Mikayla annoyedly complained as she entered the pool.
“How did I get you into trouble? I brought you here to enjoy the hot springs, not to hun and cuddle with Jerome,” Celeste jokingly said. “You two were hugging for so long. It was like you were weds.”
Mikayla’s face flushed again as she thought of what just happened,
The truth was not as Celeste imagined, but she couldn’t tell that Jerome had a physiological reaction, so
she had to go along.
“Oh, now you’re shy and blushing? Celeste continued to tease Mikayla. “Just letting you know, my colleagues were so jealous of you just now. They kept screaming next to me that they wanted to fall in love and get married. My ears almost went deaf.”
“Stop it!” Mikayla splashed water at Celeste. “It’s all your fault. You tricked me into coming here and didn’t even stay in the same room with me. I don’t care. I’m sleeping with you tonight!”
Although Jerome’s suitcase wasn’t in her room, she still felt uneasy.
What if Jerome loses his mind again and comes looking for her? She wouldn’t be able to fight him off.
It would be safer to stay with Celeste.
Celeste wiped the water off her phone pouch and refused. “No way. Nolan is coming later. You can’t
disturb our private time.”
Mikayla was annoyed. “When we left, you clearly said Nolan was busy.”
“Yes, he was busy in the morning, but he’s free in the evening.” Celeste replied.
Celeste’s eyes suddenly flickered.
She quickly picked up her phone and looked at it carefully, then exclaimed, “Mikayla, look! Someone sent a photo of you and Jerome!”
“What photo?” Mikayla had a bad feeling.
She took a look and, sure enough, it was the scene of Jerome holding her just now.
In the photo, Jerome was holding her with one hand and the other arm wrapped around her waist. He was
kissing her hair as she leaned against his chest.
