Chapter 225
Mike heaved a huge sigh of relief.
He fled right after he shoved the car keys in Jerome’s hand.
Mikayla could no longer keep her thoughts to herself.
“What did you say to Mr. Ashford? He’s acting skittish whenever I’m near him,” she asked.
Jerome frowned. “How do I know? I’m not him. Don’t you want to buy your medicine? Let’s go.”
His blatant lie rendered her speechless.
They strode toward the car.
Right after she fastened her seatbelt, she spotted Kylie in the parking lot.
She looked pale and wan, and she happened to notice them as well.
“Mr. Miller, Mrs. Miller,” Kylie greeted them feebly, one of her hands clasped on her forehead.
“Where are you going?” Jerome asked.
She winced, and replied, “My forehead looks like it’s getting inflamed. It really hurts, but I forgot my
medicine. I’m going to buy some now.”
“We’re about to head out now. Send me the medicine you need, and I’ll bring them back for you.” Jerome
offered.

She shook her head while enduring the pain. “I don’t want to trouble you guys. I’m fine on my
Mikayla snorted.
Seeing how agonized Kylie looked, she quipped, “Ms. White’s condition seems pretty serious. Why don’t you take her to the hospital? I’ll take the cab instead.”
She unfastened her seatbelt, but Jerome stopped her. “Don’t make a fuss.”
Kylie quickly blurted out an apology. “Mrs. Miller, please don’t be mad, I’m-”
“Quit the act!” Mikayla snapped. “If you’re not deliberately trying to piss me off, then why are you literally
showing up wherever we go?”
Kylie’s eyes reddened as she mumbled a few words of apology. She hurried over to her car and unlocked
Jerome chanced a glance at Mikayla. “Buckle your seatbelt.”
He then drove a few feet forward and came to a halt in front of Kylie’s car.
“Send me the type of medicine you need, and go have some rest. We’ll be back shortly,” he said.
Kylie looked like she was on the verge of collapsing. “Thanks, Mr. Miller.”

Jerome didn’t respond and zoomed off instead.
Mikayla thought her initial notion to stop hating Jerome was foolish.
She only did slightly better in this life because she didn’t offend Kylie. Otherwise, he would be equally mean to her as well.
Once they reached the pharmacy, she gave Jerome no heed as she promptly got out of the car.
She selected some digestive pills and antacids. She also bought some pain relief spray just in case Amy didn’t pack any.
She went to the cashier after she was done choosing her medicine, and Jerome had the staff pick up the medicine he needed.
“I’ll pay.” Jerome said as Mikayla was about to pay.
