Mikayla was momentarily stunned. 

She planned to use the one hundred billion dollars her grandfather gave her to cooperate with Taylor. Besides, she had already maxed out the black card Jerome gave her last time. 

She had limited accessible cash at the moment. Things would be much easier if she had 

the money. 

Anyway, she could no longer use the proposal. Since Bernhal wanted it, she decided to let 

them use it. 

Mikayla tried negotiating. 

“Can you add another one hundred thousand?” 

Jerome remained silent. 

He looked at her and said, “Mikayla, you are clearly a money lover. Why did you pretend to be all high and mighty and say you didn’t want a penny before this?” 

Jerome had given Mikayla a card when they got married. 

He told her she could spend it on household expenses but warned her not to tie him down with their marriage. 

Mikayla refused to accept the card to prove she didn’t marry him for money. 

Since then, she had used her own money to buy gifts for Jerome and to cover some daily 

expenses. 

It was such a loss! 

“How about you make up for it now?” Mikayla tentatively asked. 

As expected, Jerome sneered. 

“You’re divorcing me. Why should I give you money to spend?” 

Businessmen were all about benefits. Mikayla decided not to dwell on it.

Jerome requested, “You have to participate and follow up on the project in the future. You’re responsible for modifying the relevant data in the proposal.”

After that, he focused on replying to his emails and ignored her. 

Contented with the peacefulness, Mikayla continued looking at her phone. 

Silence filled the car again. 

The car soon arrived at a uniquely themed restaurant in Marisville. 

The environment was elegant, and the air was refreshing. The private rooms nered excellent views. There was also a garden at the back. Since it was located quite far from the bustling city, people among the upper–class society loved this place.
