Chapter 62
Following that, Mikayla wholeheartedly threw herself into Jerome’s embrace.
The masculine presence was accompanied by a faint scent of cedar that entered her nose. It caused Mikayla to tremble slightly.
Although there had been a few unexpected incidents and physical contact between her and Jerome recently, being embraced so completely by him was a first.
Their thin clothes were pressed closely together. It transmitted the temperature of his robust and warm chest through to her.
Mikayla could even feel Jerome’s strong heartbeat.
She finally received the full embrace she had yearned for and imagined countless times in her previous life.
Jerome, too, keenly sensed Mikayla’s delicacy and fragrance in his arms.
Perhaps due to the fever heightening his senses, he felt Mikayla melting into him like

right?”
Mikayla thought that Jerome referring to himself as a normal man was such a joke.
They have been married for over a year. Mikayla couldn’t help but feel exasperated by
Jerome’s recent erratic behavior.
Despite her desire to confront the situation, she knew that doing so would likely result in
further complications.
She swiftly concealed the lingerie she had taken.
Mikayla firmly stated, “This is no place for you. Go back to your room! If you’re unwell,
