Chapter 63
Upon hearing this, Jerome closed his eyes. He seemed indifferent to her words.
When Miksyla entered the guest room, she noticed the empty beds and the absence of bedding. She understood why Jerome remained unfazed.
Mikayla could tolerate sleeping on the couch or an empty bed but refused to endure this
injustice.
She returned to the master bedroom determinedly, intending to make Jerome leave.
However, she found him engaged in a video call with Eduard.
“Grandpa, Mikayla is here,” Jerome turned the phone toward her.
Mikayla quickly plastered a smile and greeted, “Grandpa, you’re still awake at this hour?”
“You didn’t call me when you arrived. I was worried about your safety,” Eduard said, sounding concerned.
Then he asked curiously, “Why did you take a pillow?”
“Oh, I just went to get a pillow from the next room.”
“Jerome mentioned he was feeling unwell and having a fever. Take care of him, and don’t
wander around,” Eduard advised.
“Sure, Grandpa.”
“Alright, get some rest. Goodnight!”
The call ended. Mikayla was about to discuss the bedding situation when Jerome spoke
first.
“You promised Grandpa you’d take care of me. Keep your word, or I’ll record a video for
Grandpa.”
Aware that Jerome might not resort to such childish actions, Mikayla chose not to argue further.
She tossed the pillow onto the chaise lounge and headed to the bathroom. After washing up, she returned to find Jerome already asleep. His sleepwear was partially unbuttoned. It revealed his robust chest.
Mikayla considered taking advantage of the situation, She took a photo with her phone. It Included a pink teddy bear on the bed and sent it to Kylle.
Mikayla didn’t care if the photo irritated Kylle.
The primary goal was to disgust her, especially when thinking about Jerome sleeping in her bed after filing for divorce.
Having accomplished her mission, Mikayla put her phone away and lay on the chaise lounge.
