Chapter 70
After Mikayla entered her bedroom, she found that Amy still hadn’t cleared Jerome’s. belongings.
Fortunately, Jerome didn’t intend to enter her bedroom that night. Mikayla locked the bedroom door and prepared to sleep.
While lying on the bed, Mikayla still felt Jerome’s heavy presence in the room, making it. difficult for her to rest properly.
Thus, she got up and moved all of Jerome’s belongings into the corridor. Then, she
returned to bed.
Feeling much more comfortable, Mikayla fell asleep.
When Mikayla woke up in the morning, there was no trace of Jerome in the house. His things were still in the corridor, waiting to be cleaned up by Amy.
Mikayla looked at her phone.
The news about Ansoft Enterprise was trending.
Johnny and Betty’s divorce had caused Ansoft Enterprise to be split into two.
Johnny had established his own liquor business while Betty was able to continue doing. business under the name of Ansoft Enterprise. She also held the stocks of the company.
Ansoft Enterprise was originally established by Betty’s father, thus it was normal for Betty to want to regain control over the company.
Mikayla decided to visit Betty that day.
When Mikayla arrived at Ansoft Enterprise, Betty had just been done with a meeting. Although Betty looked a bit tired, she didn’t appear defeated or discouraged.
“Hi, Betty!” Mikayla greeted,
Betty was a bit surprised to see Mikayla. She then invited Mikayla into the office.
“Betty, are you okay?” Mikayla asked.
In the short span of a few days, Betty had suffered a great betrayal from her husband.
She had fought back with determination and swiftly divorced him. Then, she took over the operation of Ansoft Enterprise by herself.
Mikayla was very impressed by Betty’s determination and courage.
Betty smiled and replied, “You don’t have to worry about me. I’ll never regret the decision
I’ve made.”
Mikayla asked, “How would you keep the company running without Johnny’s expertise?”
Betty explained to Mikayla that her father had his own recipe. Although it wasn’t as well
known as Johnny’s, Betty believed that the quality would be on par with Johnny’s.
“So there will be no problems on the product side of things, but you don’t have the capital
to keep the company from operating normally?” Mikayla asked.
“Yes, that’s the problem I’m facing.”
Although everything had been Johnny’s fault, it was Betty who initiated the divorce.
