Mikayla wished Celeste would wake up from her naïve daydreams. 

“It’s good for you to care about your husband’s dating history. You should send some food 

and drinks to Nolan right now. 

“It would be a good chance for you to express your love to him and keep his female 

classmate in check.” 

“Okay, I’ll do so right away. You’re persistent at nagging!” Celeste replied. 

After ending the call with Celeste, Mikayla still felt uneasy for Celeste. 

She sent a message to Celeste, “I remember your mother–in–law likes jade. Lumina is pretty famous for their jade. You should pick a nice bracelet to give her.” 

Mikayla knew from her past life that Nolan’s first love was quite a cunning person. Not only had she maintained a good relationship with Celeste, but she also knew how to please. Nolan’s parents. 

When she visited Nolan’s family, she brought a jade bracelet for Nolan’s mother, who was 

delighted to receive the gift. 

Celeste told Mikayla last time that she regretted not going to Lumina with Nolan as she 

couldn’t be the person to give his mother the gift. 

Mikayla hoped that Celeste’s efforts would help improve her relationship with Nolan. 

Speaking of gifts, Mikayla remembered that Wanda’s birthday was only three weeks away. As Wanda’s daughter–in–law, she wanted to pick a special gift for her. 

After all, she was going to divorce Jerome soon and would no longer be Wanda’s rightful daughter–in–law. 

Mikayla first went to a store to purchase some bathing salts. Then, she found a shop that specialized in customizing photo frames. She selected some beautiful photos taken in the garden last time to make an album for Wanda. 

“Why did you buy such expensive watches instead of some luxurious clothes? Don’t you know how to save money?” someone exclaimed loudly. 

Mikayla’s hand trembled as she heard the voice. 

Even though Mikayla had been reborn, she would still get scared when she heard this 

person’s voice. 

The owner of this voice, Annie Florence, had tormented her for more than two years in her past life. 

Every day, Annie would scold and insult her, calling her a useless person. If she dared to resist, she would face even more terrible abuse from Annie. 

Mikayla turned her head and saw Annie and a man in his 20s exit the adjacent watch store. 

The man looked a bit similar to Annie. He was about six feet tall and was wearing a neat suit. With his hair combed up, he looked like a business owner. 

“Why should I save money?” the man exclaimed. “That woman’s family is rich. If I don’t dress up for the part, how would she be attracted to me?” 

“Whatever you say! Go buy some shoes, I’m heading to the bathroom!” Annie said. 

Mikayla frowned and asked the store clerk to help her select the photos as she tailed Annie. 

There was some construction work going on in the mall and there were some materials.
