He couldn't make a sound. He just unconsciously held her even tighter.
The smell of alcohol couldn't mask the smell of cologne on his body. When she saw that his necktie was nowhere in sight and that his collar was wide open, Victoria's gaze was full of disgust. She pushed his hand away aggressively/
"Disgusting!" She spat.
Victoria turned on her heel after saying that.
Trevor stepped forward and stopped her by grabbing her waist. "I didn't cheat on you!" Trevor yelled.
He was simply upset with her and was in a bad mood. That was the only reason why he was out to have a drink.
He didn't want to argue with her anymore. Trevor's voice softened as he said, "It's my fault! I shouldn't have been like this. We..."
Let's stop quarreling, okay?
It was rare for Trevor to be so humble. It seemed he had really regretted his behavior. At first, he had just been ashamed, but he started to feel as if things between them were deteriorating at a fast pace.
"Master Trevor!" A voice suddenly sounded.
Right before he could finish his words, a woman's soft voice was heard. In the next second, a white figure squeezed into his arms.
"Master Trevor, please save me! I've told him that you've booked me for the entire night but he's still pestering me. He's coming! Master Trevor, why don't we get out of here?" The woman said suggestively.
The woman's words were like a knife wedged between the both of them. Victoria's expression changed immediately while Trevor's face turned green with anger.
What did she mean by 'booked her for the entire night'? He only asked her to drink with him!
Victoria glanced at the young and beautiful body of the woman out of the corner of her eyes. With a cold snort, she turned around and went downstairs.
"Vicky..." Trevor called out to her.
"Master Trevor?" The woman cooed.
How unbelievable it was that this woman was still pestering him. Trevor instantly shoved her to the ground and said angrily, "Is this your first day at work? If you don't know the rules at East Bannpool, go back and learn them!"
Trevor swung his hands away from her and ran after Victoria.
However, he lost sight of her after arriving at the main entrance.
Trevor gritted his teeth in annoyance. For the first time in his life, he regretted his behavior so much.
If he could no longer see her, he would be reduced to nothing but a walking vessel, empty and soulless. With just a glance, his world had been shaken up once more.
Trevor lit a cigarette as he stood outside the door. He took out his phone and dialed for her.
"Sorry, the number you dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later..." The phone sounded.
After the incident at the hospital, Victoria had already taken her number out from the system, so it was no longer in use.
Trevor's heart felt as if it had been emptied out again as he grazed his fingers against the wallpaper on his phone. Was she angry with him or did she really... change?
His mind sent him back to the days when things were good between them. When he was sick, she would be sure to keep him company. When he was engaged in social engagements at night, she would prepare a cup of milk for him when he got home. All these sweet, lovely memories filled his mind. Trevor couldn't understand why they were drifting apart even though he had also worked hard to be happy!
Was it just because he insisted on going to Korea this time?
This was nothing but a very ordinary matter from Trevor's point of view. He didn't expect that she would take it so seriously!
Trevor sorrowfully tapped on his forehead. Why were women's hearts so different from men's?
"She's so stubborn!" He cried out loud.
