Liam moved.
He finished the rest of the wine in one gulp, tossing the glass aside.
‘Kayleigh Woods.‘ He leaned down. ‘Are you using me to get rid of Kira so you can have Austyn all to yourself?”
She tried not to flinch under his gaze. ‘No, that’s not what I–Aah!!!
Liam’s hand slid under her dress.
He pinched her.
‘You’re more cunning than I gave you credit for. He stroked the inside of her thighs. “William Congreve was right- hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”
Sensing he was not angry at her, Kayleigh quietly heaved a sigh of relief. So, what do you think of my plan?‘
‘I think it’s diabolical.‘ Liam moved her panties aside. ‘And I like it.‘
Kayleigh relaxed.
Liam’s actions grew more aggressive.
Soon, the actress was moaning and writhing on the sofa.
Giana decided to adopt Kira’s advice and took her to Takayama.
It was the omakase restaurant Kira had mentioned to Captain O’Neill,
The weekend had been a nightmare for both girls.
Giana could use a fancy meal, and so could Kira.
‘If you want to invite the captain here,” Giana said when Kira balked at the cost of eating there, ‘you should try out the menu. Otherwise, how do you know what to recommend to him? Besides, the enemy’s picking up the tab.‘
Giana waved the cheque in her hand.
She was going to drop it in her bank’s deposit box after the late lunch.
Kira acquiesced.
right.
When she stepped into the restaurant and inhaled the rich aromas wafting in the air, she knew Giana was rig
“Thank you, Giana. This is such a treat.”
Kira admired the selection of gorgeous dishes laid out on their table by the chef, who just nodded at them and left.
‘Don’t mention it. Dig in.*
Kira went for the salmon tataki first.
It was served on a bed of daikon, relish, fried garlic, and dark tosa soy.
She almost groaned with pleasure when the sashimi plece melted in her mouth.
For a long time, neither girl spoke, busy attacking their food.
Giana had to watch her diet, per the doctor’s order.
She sat back after devouring a crispy wafer shell filled with foie gras ice cream.
“Kira, there’s something I need to remind you,‘ she said.
“What is it?” Kira looked up.
‘You’re still in school. You must protect yourself.”
What do you mean?‘ Kira reached for a piece of smoked yellowtail toro.
‘Don’t get knocked up, at least not before you graduate.‘
Kira almost choked on the tuna.
‘Did you hear me? Giana rapped a knuckle on the table.
“Yes, of course. Don’t worry. I won’t.‘
Giana shook her head at her friend’s youthful face and sighed. ‘I still can’t believe you’re married. You’re twenty–one!‘
Kira sighed as well. “To be honest, I can’t believe it, either.”
And to be married to a man of Austyn’s status.
It was beyond her wildest dreams.
Giana played with the bird–shaped soy sauce container. ‘So, what is he like?”
