The sound made Kira jump. ‘What’s wrong?” 

Gideon pushed back his chair and stood up. Kira, I want to talk to you. Alone. Now! 

Kira thought he was joking 

How could she have a private conversation with him while Austyn was here! 

Was he trying to get her in trouble? 

Kirashook her head and was about to say now! when Austyn said, “Go. Talk to him.” 

Kira thought she’d heard wrong 

Since when did Austyn become so in 

magnanimous? 

“Don’t you think it’s time to clear things up between you two?” Austyn said without looking at her. ‘There’s an empty table over there. You two can talk In private. I’ll wait here.”

‘You want me to talk to Gideon?!

Austyn tilted his chin. ‘Go ahead.‘ 

Kira alternated her glance between the two men. ‘Okay, I’ll talk to him.‘ 

She stood up and followed Gideon 

The smile on Austyn’s face turned upside down the moment Kira left. 

Of course he didn’t want her to talk to Gideon 

But he knew Gideon would not give up on the idea and would find a way to get to Kira sooner or later. 

It was best if the conversation happened under his watch,
