She was red in the face, with anger, not shame. 

‘That wasn’t funny! 

“Aw, I was hoping you wouldn’t find out till much later.‘ He sounded disappointed. 

The man was such a bastard! 

Kira flung the quilt aside and clambered out of bed. 

She ran a hand over her body. 

Every part of her felt normal and…unviolated. 

She was still seething.

She scanned the room, looking for the door. 

She did not want to spend another minute in the same room as Liam Cane. 

Liam sprang out of bed and blocked her path. 

Kira’s hands flew to her face, but stopped halfway when she glimpsed he was wearing his pants. 

‘Hey, running away so soon after you slept with me? That’s going to hurt a man’s feelings.‘ 

Kira rolled her eyes. 

She stepped back, keeping her distance. 

‘Mr Cane, I could sue you for kidnapping. You brought me here against my will,‘ 

“How could it be against your will? You were unconscious. It was not like I could ask for your opinion.

Liam paused, then he burst out laughing. ‘You’re so cute. 

‘And you’re so evil,‘ Kira retorted.

Liam crossed his arms. ‘Is this the way you treat someone who helped you in the past? More than once, I might add.‘ 

Kira couldn’t answer.
