Instead of feeling touched, all Kira telt was disgust.

Liam pressed his lips into a thin line. 

He glowered at her. 

Kira held his gaze. 

“Do you think I’m like Deborah? Easily seduced by your false charm into betraying Austyn?” 

Liam clenched his fists. 

Anger flitted across his face, but he held it in. 

“I’m sorry to tell you, your plan failed. I won’t fall for your trap, and I won’t betray Austyn.” 

Thinking back, Kira realised how foolish she had been 

“That day in the restaurant, you kissed me on purpose, didn’t you? You knew Austyn was nearby, watching us. You kissed me just to provoke him.”
