Bedmates Soulmates novel Chapter 64

He hated this feeling of being at sea

It was frustrating, not knowing what to do

Kira fidgeted as she was forced to look into the abyss that was his eyes

For a surreal moment, she experienced vertigo, as if she was in danger of falling into that bottomless void

She was wearing a cotton tshirt and a pair of denim shorts, but she felt naked under his gaze

Kira gulped, stammering, W..whatever it is that I did wrong, I’m truly, honestly sorry. If you would care to, uh, enlighten me on the cause, I’ll do everything in my power to make amen-”

Her last word died in her throat

Austyn lowered his head and kissed her on the lips roughly

He took possession of her mouth and claimed it as his domain, exploring every part with a tongue that brooked no resistance

Kira felt the hotness of his breath and the fervour of his kiss

He savoured her like she was the last drop of water on earth

He ran his hands over her lithe figure, exploring, searching for answers he couldn’t find within himself

How was he supposed to enlighten her when he was just as confounded

It was a passionate, almost violent kiss

Kira couldn’t think

The ruthless conqueror advanced, taking over her body and her senses

She was getting lightheaded

There was not enough oxygen

She pushed against him, but it was like a fawn trying to dislodge a banyan tree

He didn’t budge

All she got for her trouble was a nip on her bottom lip

Don’t move!he hissed

I’m sorry.” Kira was on the verge of tears. I shouldn’t have listened to Elsie. I won’t do it again, I promise! I didn’t know you’re so scared of frogs. Please don’t be mad.”

Austyn felt her chest heaving underneath him

He bit her earlobe. Fool!!

Cradling her face with his hands, he licked the place on her lip where he’d bitten, trailing kisses down her chin, herneck, the hollow between her collarbones, and then lower

He got his dessert, after all

Monday

Kira got through the morning by minimising her water intake to avoid trips to the bathroom

She wasn’t sure if her sore, tight, stiff thigh muscles could be trusted to carry her down the short hallway

She’s Not A Business Problem
