He was dozing off when he suddenly sensed something touching him. 

His eyes snapped open. 

Austyn looked down and saw a little girl, who was hugging both of his legs like a koala 

The toddler appeared to be three or four years old and was trying to climb up his legs. 

But she had short arms and tiny legs and berellort proved to be in vain, 

She looked up at Austyn with big, round eyes filled with curiosity. 

Austyn kmitted his brows. 

He had little experience dealing with rugrats 

He scanned the hallway and didn’t see anyone who looked like the little girl’s parents 

The frown deepened. 

What dind of irresponsible parents left a toddler unattended? 

Austyn said to the little girl, “Where’s your mom or dad? Are you here alone?‘ 

The girl blinked twice, then she burst into tears. 

Austyn was flustered. 

He almost jumped to his feet but the girl was still clutching his legs 

He stared down at her crying face helplessly, unsure of what to do. 

‘Mr Taylor!” Rowe materialised in front of him 

He set down the cup of hot coffee on the bench next to Austyn and gave him a disapproving glance. “What did you do? Did you make the little girl cry?” Austyn stared at him, incredulous. I made her cry?” 

He looked down again and saw the girl wipe her tears and snot on his pants. 

He resisted the urge to push away the little rascal.
