I didn’t sleep at all last night. No matter how much I tried to push my thoughts aside, Elise’s interest in Titus kept gnawing at me. I hated that it bothered me so much, but it did. Between the two of us, she was the obvious choice. She had the grace, strength, and poise to stand beside him as Luna when he eventually reclaimed his throne.
That was a fact, and yet… a small, foolish part of me still clung to hope. Hope that maybe there was still a chance for Titus and me, that what we once shared could somehow survive everything we’d been through.
t who was I kidding? That hope had been shattered a long time ago. Too much had happened between us–too many wounds, too much distance. Even if we tried to move forward, I wasn’t sure we’d ever find solid ground again. Deep down, I believed we were better off without each other. And if that was true, I needed to act like it.
A soft knock at my door startled me out of my thoughts. I sighed heavily, forcing myself to push everything down and focus. When I opened the door, I wasn’t surprised to find Elara standing there, her expression neutral but her eyes sharp as ever.
“They’re asking everyone to gather in the main hall,” she said simply.
I forced a smile, though it felt more like a grimace. “I’m ready,” I replied.
Elara raised a brow, glancing over me with a mix of curiosity and concern. “Already? Did you even sleep? You look terrible.
“Thanks for the compliment,” I replied dryly, brushing past her comment. “Let’s go.” I didn’t want her asking questions I wasn’t ready to answer.
Elara shrugged, clearly sensing my mood, and turned to lead the way. I closed the door behind me and followed her down the hall, steeling myself for what was to come.
When we entered the main hall, the air was thick with anticipation. The room was already packed–werewolves and humans alike, all eagerly awaiting the outcome of the negotiations. Two powerful alphas striking a deal was no small thing. Whatever decision was made today would ripple through all our lives.
My eyes were drawn immediately to Titus. He stood tall and commanding at the front of the hall, positioned near the large hair that Alpha Marcus would soon occupy. His presence alone demanded attention, but it was the expression on his face that sent a shiver through me–calm, resolute, yet guarded.
Before long, Alpha Marcus arrived, striding into the hall with the confidence of a man who held all the cards. Elise followed closely behind him, her movements graceful, her expression serene. She was every bit the picture of a Luna.
“That didn’t take you long to come to a decision, Alpha Titus,” Marcus said smoothly, his smirk sharp and deliberate. Titus’s expression didn’t waver. “I don’t have the luxury of time, Alpha Marcus. I have people counting on me.” “I understand,” Marcus replied, gesturing for him to continue. “Please, go on. Let us hear your decision.” Titus’s crimson eyes scanned the room, briefly meeting the expectant gazes of those around him. Then, his gaze

I froze, my breath catching in my throat. There was something in his eyes I couldn’t fully understand–an unspoken emotion that felt like a warning. My chest tightened as I realized what he was about to do.

Chapter 125
“No,” I whispered under my breath, in my stomach like a heavy stone,
ead settling
Titus turned back to Marcus, his tone calm but resolute. “Your daughter, Elise, is a truly remarkable woman. She is beautiful, intelligent, and brave. Any alpha would be honored to have her as their Luna.”
Total lunt. “Why do I feel a ‘but‘ coming?”
Marcus smirked, his sharp gaze flickering with
Titus didn’t flinch. “Despite her being the perfect Luna, I’m afraid I cannot declare her as mine.”
The crowd stirred, murmurs rippling through the room like a restless tide. Marcus’s smirk faded, replaced by a cold, calculating expression.
e you aware of the consequences of your decision, Alpha Titus?” Marcus asked, his voice low but laced with warning, “You
need my help.” are not here as a courtesy. You are here because you
Titus stood his ground, his posture unwavering. “I am perfectly aware of the stakes. And while I deeply value the support of your pack, I cannot meet your condition. The position of Luna has already been filled, and no alliance will change that.”
The hall fell into a stunned silence, broken only by Beta Scott’s urgent voice.
“Alpha!” Scott exclaimed, stepping forward. “You have to think this through!”
But Titus didn’t waver. His words were firm, final, and they left no room for negotiation. My heart pounded in my chest, torn between the quiet thrill of his loyalty and the suffocating weight of the storm that was sure to follow.
Marcus’s face darkened, the cool, calculated air around him shifting into something far more menacing. His sharp gaze bore into Titus, the weight of his authority pressing against the room like an impending storm.
Elise, standing quietly behind her father, stiffened ever so slightly. Her serene demeanor faltered, a flicker of disappointment flashing across her features before she quickly schooled them into calm neutrality.
“You have already filled the position of Luna,” Marcus repeated, his voice low and dangerous, as though he was giving Titus one last chance to reconsider. “Then let me ask you this, Alpha Titus. Who holds that position? Who is worth risking the survival of your pack and the future of your claim to the throne?”
The room grew eerily silent, the murmurs from the crowd abruptly ceasing. All eyes were on Titus. My heart pounded so loudly I was sure everyone could hear it.
Titus met Marcus’s gaze, unflinching. “That’s not your concern, Alpha Marcus,” he replied evenly, his tone calm yet firm. Marcus’s expression tightened. He stepped closer, his imposing presence sending a ripple of unease through the room. “You stand here seeking my support, my resources, my warriors–and yet you dismiss my daughter, my terms, as though they’re beneath you?” He scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. “Do not insult me, Titus. You came to me because you have no other options. Or have you forgotten your place?”
Titus’s jaw clenched, the tension radiating from him palpable. His eyes flared, a subtle warning to everyone in the room that he wouldn’t be cowed, even under Marcus’s sharp scrutiny.
“I haven’t forgotten,” Titus said quietly, though his words carried the weight of his power. “But I will not compromise my principles, not even for the strength of your pack. My Luna has already been chosen, and that decision is final.”
For a moment, I thought Marcus might explode. The muscles in his jaw worked furiously, and his fists clenched at his sides. But then he did something unexpected. He laughed.
The sound was low and humorless, echoing in the heavy silence of the room.

The readers' comments on the novel: Betrayed by an Alpha claimed by a Lycan King (Sage and Titus)
Is it finished?...
...i mean...you had the perfect ending...why keep going?? ugh...i feel like author is going to continue with twists and turns [-_-]...
Don't mean to be rude but half the chapters are missing. As in your only publishing Half the chapter. Not all of it...
Would love more chapters...
ok just as a recap because i'm getting confused with this plot: sage (the daughter of the ex-alpha who was killed for betraying his pack) is contracted to marry the lycan king bc the present alpha doesn't want to give his own daughter to the king. sage sleeps with someone before the wedding (turns out to be the king). there's a caper at the palace where the king doesn't let her look at him bc he wants to keep her guessing for some reason but eventually she finds out that man she slept with is her husband now. there are other concubines and a queen but for some reason titus still doesn't have an heir despite being like thousands of years old. there is a prophecy that a red wolf will destroy the evil inside the king and when it comes to pass titus looks like he dies. sage runs away (she is the red wolf) bc shes scared of being called a killer. when she comes back titus has been manipulated to believe her "sister" is his mate. there's an intermission where sage runs away with her handmaiden to new york and they start a life for themselves. until titus buys out the company bc he's filthy rich and drags her back. the sister gets punished and jailed to be killed, but sage's intervention (due to her previous feelings for the brother) prevents her death. there's a point when the royal elders storm the castle and titus is jailed and almost at the point of death. taking the beta and her handmaiden they rescue titus and restore him to health. while sage was in new york, titus had somehow found his dead wife again (anna?) and she's very childlike and annoying. all the times sage saves titus doesn't matter because he's been deposed as king and brainwashed by his dead wife to believe she's everything to him. titus dissolves the bond between he and sage (bc of pressure from previous wife) but still has feelings for her and still sleeps with her while trying to reclaim his throne by making alliances with other werewolf packs. a bounty hunter offers his help but demands sage as the price. titus says no, but sage goes behind his back anyway and makes the deal. thinking titus is blinded by sage's presence that prevents him from forming alliance with a pack and having that alpha's daughter as his queen, she runs way with the bounty hunter and he puts her up for sale (she's an idiot for doing this). finding out she's pregnant with an accelerated pregnancy (due to blood moon sex?) she runs away from the auction house and is rescued by a couple who never had kids miles away from where she ran away. 3 years or so pass and she is happy with her chosen family until the bounty hunter finds her again and she goes with him to keep him away from her kids only to be rescued by titus at the auction house. he also finds her kids (bc they obvy would run away to find her) but she for some reason convinces them to lie and say they're not her kids. reunited again, they come across rogue wolves who hurt titus, but they somehow all fit into the helicopter that comes at the right time to save them all. titus while being gravely ill still saves sage from being sentenced to death, but now her kids are in danger....
ok now im reinvested! I hope the kids will be ok! titus now would be a good time to wake up!...
If possible, kindly change the title of the book too because Sage is suppose to be happy with Titus but this back and forth is making the book boring...
Please this has to stop , Titus is suppose to be her savior but she's going through too much...
This book really started good. And for whatever reason, the author keeps on adding boring and nonsensical twist to the story. I'm just skipping through chapters and story still the same.repeating issues and conflict and convo. So tiring. I'm just checking in hoping I can read the ending. Lolz...
We need an end soon. It getting boting and is so boring. Also people is missing. Were is her former maid and scott used to be her friend now he treat her like a stranger...
