Betrothed To The Mafia Lord novel Chapter 192

Luca’s POV

“I could tell immediately, bunny.” I said to her after a moment, and after I had shoved my hand beneath the table to stubbly adjust my hardon on my pants to a more comfortable position.

“What kind of drink do you like though?” She asked after some seconds. I lifted my hand and dragged my fingers through my hair for a few seconds before locking eyes with her and lifting the side of my lips a little before starting to speak.

“I love the drink I’d get to suck off your nipples.” I said to her and watched as her lips fell open instantly, with color flooding her face in the next second. I chucked a little when she lifted her hand and used it to cover her face the next moment.

“Are you up for dinner yet?” I asked after a couple of seconds and watched as she nodded her head almost immediately, she had already gotten over her embarrassment at this very moment, so her hand wasn’t over her face anymore.

“Would I get to have more of that wine when dinner arrives?” She asked after I was done demanding for the waiter to arrive back to the roof.

“Yes, bunny. But that’s going to be limited, because I want you to get food into your stomach, and I meant actual food, and not some wine.” I said to her and watched as she pouted a little, before starting to nod her head slowly.

“Would you order a drink you love then, in order to be able to have it with your meal?” She asked and I shook my head in response.

“I guess I’d have to make do with this one. Also, I don’t think I’d really enjoy my kind of drink if it’s not off your nipples.” I said to her, knowing the last part of my sentence was going to get her flustered instantly.

“Stop saying things like that.” She protested in a weak voice after a few moments and I only winked at her because at that moment, the elevator door had open to reveal two waiters. The table got cleared off instantly and the rest of the wine, they were going to bring a fresh order for the actual dinner, along with a new bottle of drink.

Once the waiters were gone, we've both fallen into a calm and comfortable water of silence. Sofia was staring around the whole place, her eyes lingering on the pool once again. I was going to arrange for our next date to be scheduled in a pool, because it seems like she really wanted to get to feel some pool water against her skin… too bad she wasn’t into skinny dipping.

“You really like this place, don’t you?” I asked after a moment and watched as she nodded her head in response without averting her gaze from the calm pool.

“Yeah, I do. It’s really beautiful and perfect. Thank you for bringing me here tonight.” Sbe started to say as soon as she had turned around on her seat to stare at me. I smiled at her warmly for about a minute.

“I’m glad you really like it this way, thank you for agreeing to come with me.” I said to her in response and watched as a small, cute and shy smile bloomed on her face the next moment. The glint in her eyes was back once again and I was really glad about that. Although, I’d really like to know the reason behind why she had lost that grint from her eyes and turned gloomy in a fleeting second, some time ago.

I leaned forward in my seat and started to speak. “What’s with you and books?” I breathed out and watched as she glanced up at me almost immediately. She blinked a couple of times before lifting her hand up to push her hair out of her face.

“Um, I… nothing?” She said in the next second with shrugged shoulders, and I didn’t buy that response for a second.

“I believe you can do better than that if you want me to buy that response for a few seconds at least.” I drawled out and watched as she blinked up at me for a few seconds, before huffing out a small breath.

“I don’t know what to say.” She admitted after a few moments. I reached forward and pushed her hair out of her face for a moment before leaning back into my seat, before starting to speak once again.

“You can start by telling me the actual truth, the one that’s on your mind.” I said to her slowly, voice careful and cajoling a little.

“I um…” She started to say after a minute before trailing off, biting on her lower lips a little.

“Go on, what is it?” I pressed softly, wanting her to tsk it out in order for it to be pushed out or the way after it has been sorted out and talked about.

“It’s just silly, I swear.” She tried dismissing me but I wasn’t having any of that.

“I want to hear the silly thing. I think silly is really cute.” I explained to her after a moment.
