The moment the words left his mouth, he sensed the change. Behind the mask, Noah’s eyes darkened like storm clouds

about to burst. It felt like a dagger had been unsheathed–one dipped in venom and aimed straight at him.

Even Jack, who had been standing a few steps away, took a cautious step back, as though trying to avoid whatever

explosion was coming.

Nathan instinctively recoiled. He shook all over, like a leaf barely holding on in a windstorm. It was then that his survival

Nathan gulped. He tried a shaky grin. “Hey, buddy, can we maybe talk this out? We’re civilized people, right? Let’s skip the punching and stick to words.”
