Chapter 570 A Happy Family Of Three
Sadie’s smile froze for a split–second.
She knew Noah was serious- she could hear the subtle threat in his words.
She quickly composed herself and stamped out the strange flutter in her chest.
She met his gaze without flinching and said, “This is Beversea, after all. The Higgins family has roots here that run deep
throughout the years. They are not the sort of people you can just trifle with. You are a visitor, Mr. Noel. You’d better not
act rashly.”
Sadie paused before further emphasizing what she said. “Otherwise, your life might be shorter than Nathan’s.”
Noah took in her feigned bravado, and the chill in his eyes melted away into a knowing smile.
He didn’t say anything else, but his deep, intent gaze remained fixed on her.
That was when the car pulled to a stop.
The driver barely dared to breathe, having sensed the tension between the two.
After a few, tense seconds of more silence, he braced himself and peeked nervously at the rearview mirror. “Mr. Noel, Ms. Hudson, we’re here,” he said meekly.
His words were like a much–needed escape for Sadie.
She wasted no second, pushing the car door open and stepping out without a backward glance.
She had barely steadied herself when a small figure hurtled toward her like a cannonball. It crashed against her legs and clung to them.
“Mom!” Averi squealed.
Sadie immediately felt a warmth bloom inside her chest.
She bent down, intending to scoop her son in her arms, but the ever sharp–eyed boy caught sight of another figure stepping out of the car.
It was Noah, wearing his mask. Averi’s eyes went wide with surprise and delight.
He immediately let go of his mother and bounded eagerly, rounding the car before launching himself into Noah’s arms.
“Mr. Noel!” Averi’s voice was practically thrumming with joy.
Noah caught him easily, lifting him up as his face broke into a wide smile underneath his mask.
Averi seemed heavier than the last time they had met.

Chapter 570 A Happy Family Of Three
Noah gently bounced the little boy in his embrace. “You got heavier, Averi.”
Averi wrapped his arms around Noah’s neck and nuzzled the crook of the man’s shoulder.
Then he pulled back a little to look up at Noah with big, sparkling eyes. “Will you play with me?”
Noah turned jelly at the sight of that adorable face. He agreed without hesitation. “Of course.”
Noah turned and glanced to a spot just down the street from the hotel.
“I heard there’s a newly–built amusement park nearby. Would you like to go check it out with me, Averi?”
“Amusement park?” the boy echoed, his eyes twinkling with excitement. His cheeks were flushed as he clapped his hands. in earnest. “Yes, please! I want to go to the amusement park!”
Then he turned to Sadie and pursed his lips in expectation. “Mom, you should come with us! Please, Mom?”
Sadie looked at her son’s pleading expression and felt her breath catch in her throat. She could never bear to disappoint him.
With a soft, resigned sigh, she finally nodded. “All right.”
“Yay! Mom, that’s so nice of you!” Averi kicked his feet, even as he leaned back into Noah’s embrace.
The three of them got back in the car.
With Averi present, the mood was significantly lighter this time.
The driver breathed easier. He was just relieved that he could now drive in peace.
When they pulled over in front of the park, Averi could no longer contain himself. He hopped out of the car and dragged Noah by the hand as he charged inside.
