Atlas snorted disdainfully, "He knows that Rory must have greater value, but he doesn’t dare keep him. He wants to get the notebook, but he's also trying to figure out how to get rid of him quickly. He must have promised something to the Non-Organization, which is why they're assisting him.
"As far as I'm aware, the Non-Organization is independent of all parties. But they're being patient with Navi this time. It's clear that your father is the focal point here!"
Atlas provided an obvious and accurate explanation, but the more persuasive it was, the more terrified I felt.
"But this situation won't last long. Once the Triple Alliance realizes what’s going on with General Xavier, there might be trouble."
"What trouble?" I asked nervously.
“Xavier wants to act alone and eliminate this cancer directly. Navi's boldness has already incited conflict within their group and jeopardized their interests. Xavier still has some sway for the time being. But if the Non-Organization intervenes to assist Navi, Xavier might be powerless!"
"What do they want to do?" I just wanted to know the outcome.
After glancing at me and remaining silent for a while, Atlas said, "They want to blow up Navi's base."
My heart stopped. I stared at him, utterly bewildered.
What?
Blowing it up would be a relief, but my dad was still inside.
"W-When?" I asked, feeling unsettled.
"Tonight, at 7 o'clock," Atlas said decisively.
I felt my entire body turn to stone, and my thoughts went blank at the sound of those four words.
7 o'clock!
That left us with less than 10 hours.
