It was a call from Trinity.
I felt excited and quickly answered, "Trinity, where are you?"
"I'm at home." Her clear voice came through.
"At home? At the Huffman family’s residence? You're back?" I asked eagerly.
"Yeah. Are you coming?" she asked.
"I'm coming!" I replied. "I just woke up. Wait for me, I'll be there soon, and we can talk."
I hung up the phone and hastily got out of bed, almost stumbling in my hurry.
Trinity was back! She truly was a mystery, appearing and disappearing without a trace. But when she returned, it was as if she had never left.
I quickly freshened up and rushed out. I went to the study but didn't see Atlas, so I hurried downstairs.
There was nobody in the hall, so he might not be home.
As I was leaving, I bumped into my mom coming in from outside. Seeing me in a rush, she asked, "You're awake. Where are you going? Have you eaten?"
"Mom, I'm in a hurry to go to the Huffman family's residence. Trinity is back! I haven't eaten yet, but I'll eat there. Where's Atlas?" I said as I continued walking.
"He went out with Arnold early this morning." My mom followed behind me. "Take a bite before you go. It'll only take a moment. I've stewed some soup for you."
"Mom, I'll eat there anyway. Don't worry, I won't starve myself."
I didn't even bother to greet the others who were drinking tea.
But before I could get into the car, Ava noticed me and shouted, "Mommy, where are you going?"
I suddenly stopped and looked at the two little ones playing over there. Ava ran toward me quickly, followed by Jenny, sticking close by her side.
Her red dress stood out against the green lawn.
