It took me a while to regain my composure, and I looked at Ryan and said, "Don't use this as an excuse to make me angry. I'm telling you, just thinking about this irritates me."
I quickly said to Ryan, "I'll call your parents tonight and ask them to come early! That's settled; it's on New Year's Day."
I grandly said to Ryan, "Once the wedding is over, it's all done!"
"Can I take this as you being kind-hearted?" he sneered. "You're so worried about everything, aren't you?"
I chuckled. "Is it wrong for someone to care about you? Do you think I'm meddling in everything?"
I added, "You're responsible for informing Joyce! Let me remind you, girls like a little surprise. Don't be as stiff as a log. Make it grand, romantic, with roses, rings... and even get down on one knee to propose."
Ryan quickly nodded in response to my words, feeling somewhat embarrassed. "Alright, stop being sentimental! Just mind your own business. Am I that immature? I hope you put in as much effort as in meddling with this!"
Ryan said in a tone of disdain.
"What do you mean by meddling? Is the first major event in life just meddling?" I snorted disdainfully, relentlessly. "It seems like you're getting more and more childish!"
"You are more childish!" Ryan said helplessly.
There was no winning against me in arguments.
"Alright, I've arrived, and I'm done with your complaints!" I said, then told Tris, "I'm going to the ATL Empire Building. Take Mr. Ryan back to the company!"
