Strangely, Sarah did not come to the company for Jeffery. The other colleagues were all watching Jane make a fool of herself, but no one brought her any trouble. It seemed that they were waiting for the day when she completely lost Jeffery's favor and they would watched a good show.
Because of the last incident, Susie seemed to have signs of abortion. She asked for leave to stay in the hospital and didn't bother Jane again.
"Jane, let's inspect an apartment this afternoon. My friend has a nice small apartment to rent. It's not expensive, but you have to help take care of her pets." Joel walked out of the elevator to Jane's desk, as if he was claiming the credit.
Jane looked up from the pile of documents and asked. "What kind of pet? Is it an amphibious cold-blooded animal?"
"No, it's just a blue cat. You'll know when you see it. You can use the exempted rent as living expenses for a cat every month. I'll come to pick you up after work." Joel turned around and left.
Jane thought about it and reckoned that raising a cat might not be a bad thing. In this case she would not be lonely in the future, and she could inspect it with Joel. If the price was reasonable, she would move this weekend.
"Jane, the president asked you to go to his office." Tina looked at her from behind.
When Jane heard Jeffery was calling for her, she was a little nervous. "What did the president say? I still have work to do."
"It seems that you are in a hurry. You'd better go and have a look, or you may get into trouble when he is angry."
Tina didn't bother to explain. She thought that Jane was not a simple woman. She had an affair with Mrs. Reed's fiancé before, and then she fell in love with boss Mr. Jones. Now Miss. Crowe appeared, and she was flirting with Mr.Jones all day. She couldn't help but be jealous.
Jane ignored her little thoughts. After hesitating for a while, she slowly walked into Jeffery's office and opened the door. Jeffery sat behind the desk and read the documents. She tried to keep calm as much as possible. "Mr. Jones, you're looking for me."
"What did Joel look for you to do?" Jeffery didn't even raise his head. He asked Jane coldly, obviously angry.
Jane was a little stunned. How did he know that she had just spoken to Joel? She glanced around and saw the camera on Jeffery's computer monitor. It was a monitor that was facing her computer on her desk.
She suddenly understood something and frowned unpleasantly. Instead of answering, she asked in a low voice. "Are you monitoring me every day?"
"You are an employee of the company, and I am the boss. During work time, the boss will supervise the employee’s efficiency. Is there any problem?" Jeffery put down the pen in his hand and looked up with a serious face.
Jane felt helpless and could not retort. She opened her mouth and finally remained silent.
She remained silent, but Jeffery's face looked worse.
He stood up, walked around the desk, and stood in front of her. Then, he reached out to lift Jane's chin and forced her to face him. "Why did Joel look for you? You've been hiding from me recently. Do you want to be with him?"
Jane's pupils suddenly contracted, and felt like her heart was being pinched.
Did he, like the men, also thought that she was hooking up with him and even his brother?
"No, Mr. Jones just gave me a little favor."
