"I already promised to help with Mom. So you don't have to do all of this for me" Nina told him coldly.

Theo looked at her with a strange look in his eyes. It's as if he is looking at her properly for the first time even though they have known each other for one and half years now.

"I am planning to tell my Mom about our divorce" he spoke calmly, with a straight face.

No one is around the couple, so they are relatively alone.

Nina is surprised to hear this from him. He was the one who asked her for her help. Now she is not understanding why he suddenly changed his mind.

I don't want to fail as a human being either. I wronged you so many times in the past. I never gave you a chance to explain. I blindly believed everyone but you. I deeply regret that now. Mom told me that it's not you who pushed her down the stairs. But I kept blaming you for something you never did. I never cared about your feelings. I don't have the habit of apologising to anyone, Nina. But in your case, I know I am wrong. I hope you might be able to forgive me one day and we could maintain a cordial relationship here after. Nina was stunned for the tenth time today. Looks like he decided to kill her with a heart attack today.

She couldn't take her eyes off his retreating back. He greeted the people he knows and picked up a drink from a passing waiter.

'What just happened?' she wondered.

Theo has very high self esteem and he is a proud man. She never saw him apologising to anyone before, and never heard about it either. The fact that he is doing it now is speaking volumes. He meant what he said.

"Nina, what happened? What did that handsome husband of yours say?" Ella asked eagerly.

Nina averted her gaze from Theo and looked at Ella who offered her a drink.

"He apologized" Nina shared.

Ella just took a sip from her glass when Nina shared that detail. Ella choked on her drink and coughed with shock. She wiped her mouth with a napkin. Her eyes are wide with surprise.

"Really? Wow" Ella replied. She gave Nina an expectant look, as if waiting for her to say more. When Nina didn't elaborate, Ella probed for more.

"Well, if that handsome man is feeling sorry, I think you might be willing to not file your divorce in the Civil affairs bureau. Right?" she asked hopefully.
