Billionaire ’s Unforgettable First Love novel Chapter 44

Chapter 44 Gwenyth, Let's Go Home

Estella impulsively tried to knock Issac away and open the door.

She had just taken a step forward when her arm was grasped firmly by John.

John pulled her aside and said in a low voice, "I advise you not to do anything. If you go inside now, Eddie will whip you as well."

A few tears fell from Estella's eyes. Then, she quickly wiped away the tears with the back of her hand. "Mr. Hawe, please save Nancy."

"How do you want me to help Nancy? She's done something so reckless under Eddie's watch."

Besides, Nancy had done such things on his territory.

If he dared to help Nancy, Edison could turn his club upside down. And he still had to keep running the club. After all, he still had a business to run.

As much as John liked Nancy, at that critical moment, he had to let Nancy take the whip.

Nancy was too arrogant and aggressive. At least, she could keep a low profile after being taught a lesson.

There was a shout from inside the room.

Edison couldn't remember how many times he had swung the whip in his hand. He didn't stop wielding the whip until his arms were a little sore, and he threw it to the floor.

By now, Nancy was curled up on the ground. Her clothes were torn and stained with blood.

She was trembling with pain. She was like a scared dog with her head in her hands, and she curled up into a ball.

Edison cooled down a bit. Then, he turned to the heart-shaped bed and reached over to wipe the tears from Gwenyth's face.

Gwenyth parted her lips and tried to speak.

Then, Edison knelt down. He leaned in close and heard her say the word "E" softly.

The effects of the drug had not worn off. At this point, Gwenyth could not move or speak. She was still in a daze.

"It's okay."

He ran his hands through her slightly disheveled hair. Looking into her red eyes, he felt his heart being ripped out of his chest.

Thankfully, he had arrived just in time. If he hadn't come, or if he had been late, Gwenyth would have been skinned, and she would have even lost her virginity.

How could Nancy be so malicious?

He had thought Nancy was bossy and bad-tempered, but he hadn't realized how vicious she could be.

"Gwenyth, let's go home."

He said as he wrapped his arm around Gwenyth. Then, he stretched out his hand in plaster and reached under her bent knee. Because his wrist was broken, he was afraid to hold her with his hands. He tried to hold her leg with the strength of his arm.

The moment he picked up Gwenyth from the bed, his left wrist hurt sharply.

Edison gritted his teeth and strode to the door. "Issac, open the door."

Upon hearing his voice, Issac twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open.

When Issac saw Edison hold Gwenyth with his trembling bruised hand, he frowned and said, "Eddie, your hand..."

"It's okay. Come here and press the elevator button for me."

Edison headed for the elevator.

Issac looked at Nancy, curled up on the room's carpet, shook his head helplessly, and quickly went after Edison.

Once inside the elevator, Edison didn't let Issac continue to follow him.

"You're holding her like that. Don't you want your injured hand to heal up?" Issac had a worried look on his face.

"Press the first floor. Thanks."

"I advise you to carry her on your shoulder. It'll be easier and effortless."

Edison was so angry that he almost laughed. "If you keep talking nonsense, I won't be able to hold her."

Issac reached into the elevator, pressed the button, and pulled his hand back.

As the doors were about to close, he looked at Edison and cursed in a lower voice, "You idiot! "

Edison laughed at these words while feeling frustrated. "Dude..."

Before he could finish, the elevator doors had closed.

After walking out of the Nightcharm Club, Edison walked towards the parking place.

When the driver saw Edison approaching with Gwenyth in his arms, he quickly got out of the car and pulled open the back seat door.

The driver left the keys on the cupboard in the foyer and left.

Edison sat down on the sofa. Sweat slid down his cheeks as Edison looked at his trembling left hand.

It took half an hour of rest before he felt his wrist stop hurting so much.

Then, he turned his head to look at Gwenyth and found her asleep. Her wrists and arms were red and swollen from the strangulation of the rope.

He remembered that she had been face down and that the rope had been strangled in a loop around her abdomen. She had been suspended high from a metal ring, and her weight had been on his stomach. Then, he frowned as he lifted her skirt and saw the strangulation marks on her flat belly.

Normally, people wore thin clothes in summer. The rope was very thin. If she had been tied hard enough, the rope would have strangled into her flesh and cut her skin.

Thankfully, although Gwenyth had a fuller figure, she was not fat.

He got up and got the medical kit and found an ointment to relieve blood stasis. Then, he gently applied the ointment with his fingers to her belly, arms, and wrists.

Gwenyth had already passed out, so she was unaware of what had happened.

It was early the next morning when she woke up.

The living room was dimly lit, and it was just dawn outside.

Then, she found herself lying on the sofa. There was a kettle and an empty glass on the coffee table. She sat up, reached down to the kettle, and found it full of water.

Her mouth was feeling dry. Then, she poured a glass of water and gulped it down.

After drinking two glasses of water, she licked her lips and felt better.

She got up and walked upstairs cautiously.

When she reached the door of Edison's room, she gently opened a crack and peeped in.

Edison was sleeping on his side. The hand in the cast was resting on his waist.

She pushed the door open a little and stepped inside. Then, she leaned closer to him and tried to see if his hand was bruised or turned blue. If so, he would have to go to the hospital to have the cast removed, repositioned, and put on a new cast to fix his hand.

"What are you doing?"

Edison's voice was low and raspy. He had just woken up, so his voice sounded a little lazy.
