Chapter 113 

After Lindsay ran away, Blake’s calm expression instantly vanished from her face. She pursed her lips and did not speak. She was so angry that her body trembled slightly. It took her a while to calm down. 

She apologized to Olivia. “It’s my fault. I didn’t teach her well.” 

As Blake said this, her gaze was filled with regret, her face full of apology. Olivia did not mind. Instead, she comforted Blake, saying, “It has nothing to do with you. You’ve only been taking care of her for a few years. Besides, you haven’t spent much time together.” 

Upon hearing Olivia’s words, Blake felt somewhat relieved, but the guilt still lingered on her face. “Ultimately, it’s all my fault. I’m not capable enough.” 

Olivia leaned back, resting on the sofa with her attractive, long legs lifted and casually draped over the sofa. She exuded a lazy charm.

At this point, Blake’s tone turned somber. “Lindsay isn’t a bad person. She’s just been spoiled by the family. She’s a bit delicate and has a bad temper. I’m sorry you’ve had to endure this.” 

Blake genuinely felt sorry for Olivia. Initially, Olivia didn’t have to concern herself with the affairs of the Smith family. She didn’t have to shoulder these responsibilities, However, the Smith family needed her to take on their burdens. 

Olivia wasn’t greedy for the wealth of the Smith family. It was that the Smith family desperately needed her.
