Balonaire Masing Darling
Chapter 420
“Okay,” Olivia agreed. “I’ll give you an answer.”
The corners of Huntley’s mouth twitched, and a hint of mockery flashed across her eyes.
“How long will it take?” she asked.
Before Olivia could answer, Huntley continued, “I can’t wait for too long. Seven days. I’ll give you seven days.”
Olivia nodded and then left with Elena.
The early spring wind was a little chilly. Wrapped in a cashmere coat, Olivia lowered her head slightly to bury her ears in the fluffy collar.
Her pace was neither fast nor slow as she was walking steadily.
Elena followed behind her and asked worriedly, “Miss Taylor, are we still going to test Kaira?” She thought it was the hardest to gauge a person’s thoughts. Initially, they had come to Ritchfield to find a way to save Isaac.
Elena did not expect that they would have to deal with such a melodramatic incident.
She found the whole situation quite vexing because it was like a tangled mess. Once they unraveled a knot, another one would appear.
“You silly girl.” Olivia chuckled. Her beautiful eyes were bright and lustrous. She stopped in her tracks and turned to look at Elena. Her voice was soft as she enunciated each word clearly, “When we do things, we can’t just follow our feelings. That will be too reckless and can easily lead to bias.”
“What do you mean?” Elena did not quite understand.
Olivia raised her hand and lightly tapped the tip of Elena’s nose with her fingertip. She said gently, “Actually, Kaira’s thoughts are not important at all. What matters is Huntley’s conception.”
Elena was stunned and subconsciously raised her head, staring blankly at Olivia. She was a little confused and did not grasp what Olivia meant.
Olivia lifted an eyebrow, her gaze cold and hard, yet piercing. “The key to this. matter is Huntley. We need to understand what she hopes for. If she hopes that. Kaira was forced, then Kaira was forced. If she hopes that Kaira acted of her own accord, then Kaira acted of her own accord.
I’ll give her whatever answer she wants.”
“As for what Kaira was actually thinking, it doesn’t matter at all.”
Elena was dumbfounded. Her mouth parted in silent surprise as she looked at Olivia in bewilderment.
“So things could be understood in this way?”
Hallsoname’s Mixing Darling
She had never considered the situation from this perspective.
Olivia provided her with a different angle that opened up her mind.
O at vouchers
Elena took a deep breath and caught up with Olivia who was walking in front of her. In doubt, she asked, “Miss Taylor, I’m not sure if this a good idea.”
“Silly girl.” Olivia shook her head. “Are you trying to say that if Huntley hopes that Kaira acted of her own accord but the truth is Kiara was forced by Maximus, wouldn’t it be unfair to Kaira?”
“Yes, yes, that’s what I’m trying to say.” Kaira nodded violently.
Olivia’s eyes curved as she smiled. “Elena, you have to know that regardless of whether Kaira did it willingly or not, the outcome is the same. She has hurt. Huntley. What’s done is done. There’s no point in trying to figure out what was on her mind.
“Even if she was forced, it’s a pity. But she deserves to be punished.”
“Let’s go.” Olivia wrapped her coat tightly around her and nodded. “We’re going to see Kaira.”
Elena’s eyes lit up and she became excited. “Are we going to probe into her thinking and ask if she acted of her own accord or was forced?”
“No.” Olivia shook her finger and said gently, “We’re going to save her. Elena, you have to remember that we will always be on the side of justice. We have to be justified in our words and actions, so no one can find any fault with us. Doesn’t
Maximus confine her and restrict her freedom?
“Then we are acting on the request of Huntley, the guardian, to rescue her.”
