“Not sure. But continue digging for more information about her studying overseas. And get me the footage of what happened at the jewelry shop while I was in the private VIP room.” Alex ordered.
“Copy Boss. Is that all?" Derek asked
Alex creased his brows as he thought of something, then nodded his head, "Mm. You can go then."
"Yes Boss!" Derek raised his hand and saluted like a military soldier before quickly leaving the room.
Alex remained calm on the surface but deep down he was dumbfounded by what his assistant just did. Did Derek think he was a general? He’ll never understand this side from his assistant of fifteen years. There are times Derek is serious and dangerous and there are times he acts like a completely different person.
Alex set the documents in his hands down and opened one of the drawers and took out a childish pink colored wallet and stared at it.
For some odd reason, his mind kept drifting to Rose's face and her voice, especially her familiar mesmerizing eyes. Even more strange was, he didn’t find her disgusting like all the other women. And it's the same way he felt for that woman who had saved him three years ago.
There was an unknown feeling he’s never felt before creeping its way into his heart without him knowing.

The Wills were a respectable family in the community, and every time they threw a party, they would surely have influential and reputable guests.
The party was opulent and extravagant. There was a band playing, people were laughing and dancing; expensive liquor flowed, and the Will household took on a carnival atmosphere.
In the corner stood several good-looking young gentlemen, with champagne in their hands. They were sons of wealthy families, with plenty of dollars to spend and fancy cars to ride about, enrolled in elite schools, and all were successful entrepreneurs themselves.
Despite the party being lively and fun, a few of the guests were extremely excited and nervous at the same time and that was because of the fact that Alexander king had graced his presence at the party.
In the farthest part of the party where the loud music was much less, Alex sat down on one of the chairs like the emperor he was. Even though he was in the corner, he still stood out in the group of people.
