Josie stared intently at him. "If I hadn't come, you would have given away Russell Group."
At this point, everyone recognized Josie's face. There was a certain level of apprehension, especially from Isaac. He had never found an opportunity to take action against this woman. Part of it was due to luck, and the other part was because everyone believed that she would never assist Dexter again, which gave them confidence.
To Isaac's surprise, Josie actually showed up. What was her motive?
Josie scoffed and casually walked towards Isaac. "Mr. Harrison, you misspoke. Being older doesn't necessarily mean you're more experienced. Have you settled all the bad debts from your years of business outside? Are you planning to use Russell Group to offset your debts?"
Isaac's face grew paler as she continued speaking.
"Who do you think you are? So what if you're the daughter of the Olsen family? You're nothing more than an ex-wife. You're hardly worthy of speaking here!"
"I'm a shareholder," Josie said with a rare, radiant smile. "Oh, right, you probably didn't know. When Dexter and I divorced, he transferred one percent of his equity to me."
Most people were unaware of this. They exchanged glances, seeking confirmation.
"So, I suppose I could be considered one of the shareholders. Come to think of it, I even have voting rights," she added.
"What did you just say? You all agreed to elect Mr. Harrison as the new CEO of Russell Group, didn't you?" Josie said, finding the situation increasingly amusing. She thought their expressions were priceless.
"Mr. Harrison, I, well, I disagree." She patted Isaac's shoulder, showing courage.
Dexter stood tall and statuesque like an emerald. At that moment, anger was evident on his face, gradually turning serious.
From a distance, Josie watched him.
"I worked at Russell Group after my graduation. It was my former employer. Throughout all those years, I've never met a more capable leader than Dexter. I can even understand his intentions to expand his territory and form an alliance through marriage with the Olsen family."
After enduring Josie's tirade, Isaac could bear no more. He rebuked, "What is the point of all this, Ms. Warren? A mistake is a mistake. The position should be occupied by someone capable, and besides, the vote has already been passed!"
"And so what?" Josie stood her ground, simultaneously pulling out a document from her bag. "I've already signed the equity transfer agreement. This one percent equity is unconditionally given to Dexter."
The crowd erupted once again.
Even Dexter was taken by surprise by her swift actions.
Seeing Isaac's face growing increasingly unpleasant, Josie slapped the document onto the table. "Take a good look at the date on this. It took effect yesterday. Dexter's actual shareholding is fifty percent, surpassing your forty-nine percent. Your vote is invalid."
Josie's smile grew even brighter as she looked at him. "Mr. Harrison, I'm going all in this time."
