Blind date turned proposal (Josie and Dexter) novel Chapter 1034

The winter sunset blazed, casting an intense chill in the air.

A woman stood beneath the abandoned residential area. After a long while, she finally pushed open the door and entered. The sound startled the person inside, who looked over in disbelief. "Josie!"

However, the person she saw was not Josie, but Summer.

Summer arrived alone. She stood before Rachel, who was tightly bound, a cold and mocking smile playing on her lips.

"How did you find me?" Rachel asked, fear evident in her eyes.

"I had someone tail Dexter's men for a whole week before finally discovering your location. It was quite troublesome," Summer replied indifferently. She had put in great effort to figure out the bodyguards' shift patterns. Only when they had all left to eat could she take advantage of the situation.

"Why are you here? To take your anger out on me? Where is Josie?" Rachel had waited for Josie for several days, but she had given up hope by then.

"You truly are a fool, unable to escape your poverty-stricken mindset," Summer said, leisurely approaching Rachel. "You nearly got her killed, yet you still hope she will save you?"

"That's impossible... She must come and find me if she wants to know anything about Paul," Rachel shook her head, unwilling to believe it.

"Don't delude yourself. She has already left."

"Where did she go?"

"Who knows? All I know is that she's no longer in Wavery." Summer suddenly pulled out a knife from her pocket and pressed it against Rachel's throat. "You know what? Last night, Dexter was speeding on Second Highway and got into an accident. He's still in critical condition."

Rachel's eyes widened in shock. "You're here to eliminate me?"

She spoke rapidly, fearing that Summer would continue exerting force.

Upon hearing that, Summer narrowed her eyes. "Why should I believe you?"

"I learned about it from Dexter when I was with him. It's absolutely true!" Rachel looked at her. "Arnold would never abandon his father. As long as you find Edward, you can undoubtedly find him too. At that time, the two of you can still collaborate. There's definitely a chance to turn things around!"

Perhaps it was the fear of death that made her mind exceptionally clear.

Summer was skeptical. "If you dare lie to me..."

"No, I'm not lying! I swear! As long as you save me, I will tell you the lead. I still have value, don't I? Otherwise, you'll truly be at a dead end. You need me, Summer! Instead of waiting for death, why not trust me just this once?" Rachel gently persuaded.
