Blind date turned proposal (Josie and Dexter) novel Chapter 1042

"Sooner or later, I will find the evidence I need," Lily said, moving closer to her. "In the following month, don't let me catch you making any mistakes."

Josie was feeling down. She had long lost interest in wasting time with such people. Unfortunately, competitive individuals like them could be found everywhere in the world.

Meanwhile, Lachlan had already entered the hotel where the event was being held. The staff explained, "Mr. Peeple is indeed here, but he has made it clear in advance that his visit to Sumanthova is a private one, and he will not be seeing any guests."

Lachlan furrowed his brow. "Stardust just won the championship, generating a huge return for his company. Why wouldn't he want to meet me?"

The staff member was very patient. "It's a private trip. Perhaps a meeting will be arranged to discuss cooperation for the next quarter after he returns to the country."

Lachlan was still rather upset. He had great confidence in his own businesses and carried a certain degree of pride. He found it hard to accept that he had been turned away by the other party.

However, his journey to success required patience. He nodded, handing over an invitation letter. "Please pass this on to Mr. Peeple. Stardust's home team arena has been established in Wavery. If he has the time, he is welcome to attend the games at any time."

The staff complied.

Meanwhile, Grape was brought into the back garden of the venue. The place was indeed vast, with picturesque scenery, attracting many of the competitors who had come to participate.

"Michael, you seem distracted. Is there something important on your mind?" a team member asked with concern.

Lachlan's words lingered in Michael's mind, but he had no authority to interfere with the team's personnel changes. Michael was somewhat worried, shaking his head.

At that moment, Grape was stepping on the lawn with her little legs, walking unsteadily. "Mikey, I have some candy for you. My mommy says that eating candy makes you feel better."

As she spoke, she slipped a grape-flavored candy into his hand.

Finally, Michael smiled, gently pinching Grape's face. "You're such a good girl. Thank you, Grape."

Those boys were still teenagers themselves, inexperienced in handling children. Fortunately, Grape was well-behaved. She sat quietly in her seat for over an hour without complaining of boredom.
