After waiting for roughly ten minutes, Moses arrived by car. With the window halfway down, he flashed Josie a victorious smile.

Hmph! Josie couldn't help but laugh.

The backseat door swung open, and Grape scampered out, calling, “Mommy!”

Josie crouched down to catch her steadily. “You've worked hard. Are you tired?”

“Seeing you makes me forget all the tiredness.” Grape beamed.

Larry followed from behind, and taking the opportunity, Josie asked, “Who was following you?”

“I'm not sure, but it was probably a tail sent by an adversary. However, they've already been shaken off,” answered Larry.

Moses said, “With me here, they can only dream of catching up.”

Josie couldn't help but chuckle, taking Grape's hand in hers as they entered. “Let's go.”

Dexter had made arrangements in advance, but Josie hadn't anticipated that Scott would also be in charge of handling the affairs.

“Mr. Russell had sent word quite some time ago, I've been waiting for the news for a while. Ms. Warren, how have you been lately?” asked Scott.

With a hint of resignation, Josie said, “Sergeant Buncho, please stop teasing me. How about your recent work? Is there any progress?”

Her words carried an underlying meaning, obviously referring to Arnold's whereabouts. After hearing that, Scott sighed. “Let's not talk about it.”

It seemed like things weren't going too smoothly.

Another female officer was taking photos of her with a bunch of Grape. Scott curiously asked, “Am I expecting wedding favors soon?”

The female officer was just in the process of entering data into the system when she asked, “What's the surname?”

“Warren. Philomena Warren,” answered Josie.

Scott was taken aback.

Grape nestled into Josie's embrace. “Mommy, is this my new name?”

“Do you like it?” asked Josie.

“I like it!”

Josie ruffled her hair, responding to Scott, “Don't overthink it. She shares my surname.”

Josie found the voice familiar, but when she saw who it belonged to, she was taken aback. Claudia? Why is she here?

Josie was surprised. To think she knows so much already...

The situation was at an impasse. Scott walked up behind Caleb and asked in a hushed tone, “What's going on?”

“Stay out of family affairs,” Caleb said. Then, he raised his voice, “Everyone, let's disperse for now. We can discuss matters later if necessary.”

Larry remained still, standing in front of Josie from beginning to end.

The female officer was at a loss for what to do, merely following Caleb's instructions to leave. However, she was stopped by Josie's voice. “Officer, is the household registration sorted out yet?”

“That's—”

Claudia raised her voice, “Don't make things difficult for the officers. You need to calm down first.”

Unable to hold back, Josie rebuked in a deep, angry tone. “I think you're the one who needs to calm down!”

For a moment, the entire hall fell into a profound silence.
